A new official roster for NBA 2K13 has gone live, containing lineups that have been updated through April 20th, 2013. Tracy McGrady and Quentin Richardson have been added (though several other players are still missing), seven players have received ratings adjustments and the injury status for a couple of players has also been updated. The latest update also includes seven new shoes: Jordan CP3 VI.AE, Jordan SuperFly (two colourways), Air Jordan XX8 (two colourways), Jordan Aero Mania Low, LeBron X Elite PS Plus and KD V Elite Plus.
The update will come through automatically as long as your Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or Wii U is connected to the Internet. It should hopefully also be out for PC at some point, however it doesn’t seem to be coming through for me just yet. If you’re playing on PC and updating your game automatically, I’d recommend you keep checking for the new rosters. For those who wish to update their game manually, I’ll update our offline pack with the new files as soon as I possibly can.
Ugh, I might just strangle you for this post lmao! I’ve been playing non-stop awaiting the update to be pushed through to my game but to no avail. I thought you got it and I was hoping there would be an offline pack somewhere in the text. lol! Well played sir.
Hey, don’t shoot the messenger! 😉 Seems it’s slow coming through for PC users; the shoe update actually came through yesterday for the consoles but we’re yet to get that as well. Hopefully just a delay and not another case of us missing out on the update.
Aye, I guess I’ll return to modding Skyrim for now. 😡
Do you have the link for the shoes?
Nope. As mentioned in the news post, the updates have not come through for PC as yet, thus it is impossible to add them to the offline pack. We cannot post that which does not exist.
Will the Shoes be in the offline pack ?
If they come through for PC, yes. The offline pack contains the latest updates that have come through for the PC version, which as of this time doesn’t include what was pushed through for the consoles over the weekend.
i can’t believe they (2k) are going to ignore us again?? man, when ur guy leftos joins them, can u stay in touch with him about those rosters? :p
We will of course be staying in touch with him, but rosters aren’t necessarily going to be his department nor something he has control over. I’m sure he’ll continue to represent the PC community in an outstanding manner, but these things aren’t up to one person.
Can the XBox 360 version of the Roster Update be converted to PC format?
If it can be done, possibly something to consider when 2k has flown da coop…..
With the right license, you could copy values over using the REDitor, but then you might as well create your own unofficial update based on the most recent official update (or any other one that’s been released).
Andrew,
What I know of, I believe the roster file can be edited. A little bit time consuming but very possible; however T-MAC’s player profile with stats, etc has to be completed or included manually. Respect 4 Tracey.
I am not sure about the offline pack with data files, etc.
I’m no guru so I have been sniffing around, trying to find out if that can be edited or not.
Does XBOX 360 also receive the offline pack that contains the data files such as the artwork, graphics, shoes, etc?
If every single thing can be converted that would be a huge bonus…..
The roster and art files for the Xbox 360 version do not work with the PC version. Period. They cannot be converted.
You could, as I said, use REDitor to open a roster file from the 360 version and copy data into a PC roster. That’s as close as you can get as far as converting them is concerned. We cannot do anything similar with the art files.
The console versions receive the same art updates as the PC version, plus the ones that the PC version doesn’t get (like the Christmas jerseys). Once again though, they cannot be converted, but that doesn’t really matter since we have people in the community making their own art updates, as well as rosters.
update from nba2k.org.com: “It seems like 2K Sports will not release this roster for NBA 2K13 PC.”
I can’t believe they are going to do that to us (PC users), I was all geared up and hyped to download this roster and start playing the playoffs mode, all with the new shoes for Westbrook, etc. This is a huge letdown for PC users who spend their time and money for 2k’s product. I’m really disappointed, and I might rethink the possibility of playing 2K14, as well as 2K altogether…i get a wish to rage on 2k’s insider twitter profile, but then again, what use of it…
At this point, last week’s updates are not coming through. Hopefully this week’s updates will and when they do, last week’s shoes and whatnot will also be included in that update. I would assume so, since every automatic update checks to ensure that all the necessary files that have already been pushed through are indeed present.
Ronnie 2K 2K13 @Ronnie2K
#NBA2K13 roster update to go live overnight, reflect DLee injury and Kenneth Faried’s return among other moves.
I wonder if PC will receive this current update. I hope its just not wishful thinking…..
Hopefully, and as I said I imagine it would contain the other updates from last week since the automatic updates check for all the necessary files that have been pushed through before. We’ll have to wait and see, Ronnie 2K did not respond to my Tweet asking about the PC version.
Some files were corrupted under my 2k13 files and had to be deleted. Also deleting the updated rosters and all the updated shoes. How do I get all the recent shoes (kdV, LBJX Jordan’s etc.) back because it doesn’t update when I download the latest roster. Can someone plz answer this question for me thx! for Xbox 360 by the way
Strange, they should all download again automatically. I’m not sure what to suggest sorry, I’m only playing the PC version. You might want to hit up 2K Support.
Okay I preciate it though
No problem. Alternatively, you could also try hitting up @Ronnie2K and @LD2k on Twitter.
