A few leagues are on the lookout for new owners:

The TBSL is a sim league that is already using the class of 2006, with players such as Adam Morrison and Tyus Thomas already drafted. More information about the league can be found at their website.

I'm also told that the USL is also still looking to fill a couple of vacancies. Check out their website if you're interested in joining.

Finally, the National Basketball Simulation League is beginning a new season and has some teams open. All applicants should head on over to the NBSL website and register in their forum.

EA have sent us the Adam Morrison videos that recently appeared on the official website, so if you haven't seen them yet head on over to our NBA Live 07 Media section. The clips do not feature any footage of the game itself but instead go behind the scenes of Adam Morrison's NBA Live 07 commercials and include the full "Mustache", "Nicknames" and "Playing with Emotion" spots. Keep checking back as we expect to have more NBA Live 07 news, previews and information in the near future.

EA Sports have released the official features list for NBA Live 07, which you can find over at the official website as well as our NBA Live 07 subsite. In addition to mentioning Total Freestyle Control, the features advertise this year's Dynasty Mode as being "deeper than ever", providing the "ultimate immersive experience"; certainly interesting news for those of us who are Dynasty enthusiasts.

TeamXBOX have posted an interview with the Phoenix Suns' Boris Diaw, recepient of this year's Most Improved Player Award and new motion capture talent for NBA Live 07, where he talks about his mo-cap work, goals for next season, the NBA Finals and what first attracted him to basketball. IGN have posted a short article about the announcement of Tracy McGrady as the cover player for NBA Live 07, complete with images of the PC, PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360 covers, which you can find here. The article also mentions "Total Freestyle Control" which will give us more control over players, as well as advancements to All-Star Weekend and Dynasty Mode. On a side note, the screenshot of the PC version suggests that it will be on DVD-ROM this year.

Congratulations to the Miami Heat, the 2006 NBA Champions! Dwyane Wade is this year's Finals MVP after a fantastic series including a 36 point, 10 rebound performance in Game 6, while becoming the first player to win a championship in the same season as appearing on the NBA Live cover. Congratulations also to the runner-up Dallas Mavericks who battled to the end and had a tremendous 2005/2006 season.

Another sim league, the GSL, is in need of some GMs to fill vacant teams. You're out of luck if you're after Miami, Detroit, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas or Los Angeles (both the Clippers and the Lakers have been taken) but if you're interested in taking control of one of the remaining teams check out the GSL website for more info.

EA Sports have launched the official NBA Live 07 website complete with a contest to guess the cover player, with the winner receiving a free copy of the game. The answer will be revealed June 21st. Fans looking to get involved in a sim league will be interested to know there's some openings available at the newly opened NBA Sim League. All those interested should head over to their website for more information.

For those interested in a non-modem league, the following teams are available over at the NBA Live Competition League: Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Golden State, LA Clippers, Memphis, New Orleans, Utah and Washington. A fantasy draft will be held, so if you're interested get over to the NLCL site and grab the team of your choice before the new season tips off.

For those who haven't seen the clarification in the Forum, the previously posted video clip included in the NBA Live 07 Finals simulation feature has been removed as EA Sports have informed us that the clip was in fact from NBA Live 06, mistakenly labelled as NBA Live 07 and was not intended to be sent. The screenshots however are from the current-gen version of NBA Live 07 and can still be found in our NBA Live 07 Media section.

EA Sports have provided us with some NBA Live 07 preview screenshots and predictions in preparation for the 2006 NBA Finals. Contrary to the current poll results here on the NLSC, NBA Live 07 predicts a 4-3 victory for the Dallas Mavericks in the 2006 Finals with MVP honours going to Dirk Nowitzki who averaged 25.3 ppg and 10 rpg along the way. NBA Live 06 cover player Dwyane Wade's great 2005/2006 campaign will continue June 8th when the NBA Finals tip off in Dallas. Wade's season already ranks amongst the best for cover players the same year as appearing on the box and could go down as the top performance by a cover player should the Heat prevail against the Mavericks in the Finals.

The Heat/Mavs matchup was the most anticipated according to a recent poll here on the NLSC, collecting 39% of the vote.
