Arenas provides glimpse of NBA Live 08 cover |

Although EA Sports have still not made an official announcement regarding the NBA Live 08 cover, Gilbert Arenas confirmed that he will indeed be the face of NBA Live this year during a news conference. It seems the cover has also been revealed and will feature Arenas wearing the Wizards' gold alternate jersey. You can find a photo of the cover here.

Arenas the next cover player? |

Word has apparently leaked that Gilbert Arenas will be the player chosen to grace the cover of NBA Live 08. RealGM posted a report from the Washington Times stating that Arenas has been chosen over LeBron James after both were heavily rumoured to be the next cover player. As yet there has been no confirmation from EA Sports though an official announcement may be made as soon as tomorrow. |

Voters in our last poll decided that Allen Iverson's trade to Denver was the biggest surprise of the 2006/2007 NBA season, receiving 37% of the vote. More than a quarter of all voters opined that Kobe's string of 50+ point games was the biggest surprised while a further 23% were most surprised by the success of the Utah Jazz.
At midseason we ran a poll asking your pick for MVP with 29% of voters picking Steve Nash to make it a threepeat, edging out Kobe Bryant who placed second with 26% of the vote. Now that the regular season has concluded, cast your vote on who you think should take home MVP honours for the 2006/2007 season. |

Walker dubbed least favourite cover player |

The results are in: Antoine Walker has been voted the least favourite player to appear on the cover of NBA Live.
Walker took home 25% of the vote while his Heat teammates Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal finished second and third with 13% and 12% of the vote respectively. In an earlier poll, Kevin Garnett and Vince Carter were selected as the most popular cover players. Thanks again to all who voted in the poll. |

NBA Live 07 Roster Update v1.06 Released |

A new version of the NLSC Current Roster Update (v1.06) is ready to download here. The update contains final rosters for all lottery bound teams with up to date lineups for the eight teams that played on the first day of the Playoffs and projected lineups for the remaining teams.
Key features of v1.06:
- 2006/2007 Playoff Rosters (accurate as of 21/04/07)
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Cyberfaces for all newly added players
- Portraits for all newly added players
- Some player heights and weights corrected

Thank you for the prompt feedback with issues regarding the Supreme Update Mod. Please continue to do so here.
I converted a bunch of tattoos that were causing problems. Please download this if you installed the SUM mod and extract all the files into your NBA Live 07sgsm directory. Overwrite all the files if you are prompted.

Using the latest version of the current roster update for NBA Live 07, I've simmed through a virtual NBA Playoffs. Will the results prove to be an accurate prediction for the real 2007 Playoffs? Come June, we'll know the answer. |

Supreme Update Mod Disabled Temporarily |

Due to the amount of traffic received, the site was experiencing some slowdowns and the download had to be disabled. I apologize for anybody whose download was interrupted, especially those close to completing the transfer.

NBA Live 08 Conference Call |

This morning I took part in a community conference call with NBA Live 08 Next Gen producer Brian Ullrich and other representatives from various video game websites including the official NBA Live forums. We were shown a couple of quick videos that highlight some of the changes that were hinted at in the IGN interview, after which had the opportunity to offer our feedback and ask some questions. Sixers Version 2 Done |

I've finished doing the version 2 of my Sixers jersey patch.
Version 2 Features:
-fixed away and home textures
-adds the new Sixers alternate jersey and the 2006 Sixers alternate jersey
-custom numbers for the new Sixers alternate jersey
-includes a teamgear.dbf file that's compatible with the NLSC Roster
-practice jerseys from version 1 still included
-jersey portraits included

Bulls Version 2 Released |

I've remade my previous Bulls jersey patch and fixed a few errors. Now I've replaced the away jersey color, fixed the number size and position and now has new practice jerseys and jersey portraits.

IGN.com has conducted an interview with NBA Live 08 Next Gen producer Brian Ulrich, giving us our first snippet of information for the upcoming game. Improved jumpshot animations with realistic trajectories, improved rebounding animations with players leaning and reaching for the ball, a consistent frame rate of 60 fps, improved offensive AI with a focus on playing 5-on-5 basketball, better positioning and low post play, smarter players and the removal of the practice "temple" in favour of team specific practice arenas are the key points of NBA Live 08 that were touched upon. The NBA Live Top Team League is a 20 team, 20 game non-modem league for NBA Live 07 and have just completed their first season of play. Sign-ups for season two have now begun and I'm told only Miami, Utah, New Orleans, Golden State, Houston and Seattle are still open. All those interested should head over to the NLTTL website ASAP. |

I've re-made the Milwaukee Bucks jerseys and made some major changes from EA's version.

I've fixed the colors on the away jersey and made it shiny. While the home jerseys have shiny trims. I've also fixed all numbers on the home jerseys to match the color of the wordmark.

With their 75-71 loss to the Denver Nuggets yesterday the Dallas Mavericks can finish at best 69-13, a mark that has only been reached by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972 and the Chicago Bulls in 1997. 57% of voters in our last poll predicted the Mavs would finish with 69 wins or less.
Our new poll asks what has surprised you most during the 2006/2007 regular season: the success of the Utah Jazz, the successful comeback of Amare Stoudemire, Allen Iverson's trade to Denver, Kobe Bryant's barrage of 50+ point games or something else altogether. Cast your vote now! |

It's just Tandy from Live 06 with the windows taken out so you can see the Urban setting around the gym.

Pistons Version 2, Minor Jersey Fixes |

After seeing them on TV the last time around, I've noticed the few errors on my Cavaliers and Nets jerseys (alternate and home, respectively). I made an update to fix these which you can download here.
Here are the fixes I've made on the two jerseys:

Also, I've made a new version of my Pistons jersey patch. Version 2 includes:
- shiny trims
