EA Sports have sent us some photos of the NBA Live 08 Summer Camp which feature Paul Pierce, Shawn Marion, Delonte West and other NBA players in motion capture suits and playing NBA Live 08. You can check those out in our NBA Live 08 Media section.
Also, during a Topps rookie photo shot the class of 2007 took part in an NBA Live 08 tournament. GameSpot was on the scene and have posted a video of the event here. |

EA Sports to hold NBA Live Summer Camp |

TeamXBOX is reporting that EA Sports will be holding an NBA Live Summer Camp during which they will mo-cap Go To Moves and gain feedback on NBA Live 08 from real NBA players. Gilbert Arenas, Paul Pierce, Josh Howard, Monta Ellis, Shawn Marion and Randy Foye have been listed as participating in the camp, which you can read more about here. EA Sports will be producing a four part series entitled "NBA Live 08 Uncovered" that will be rolling out on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the official NBA Live 08 website. The series will feature two of the top NBA Live gamers in the world including the winner of ESPN's NBA Live: Bring It Home competition as they meet the development team and face the developers in an NBA Live 08 tournament. Xbox360Achievements.org has posted a list of Xbox Live achievements for NBA Live 08 which you can find here. According to the list, there will be 26 achievements with a total score of 1000 points. Xbox Live enthusiasts will no doubt be relieved to see that there is no achievement relating to 1000 online users. Thanks to lathrowback for the heads up in the NLSC Forum. |

IGN have posted a preview of Dynasty Mode in NBA Live 08, which you can find here. The article also contains a trailer video that shows off the Dynasty Mode interface and some of the new features. This will hopefully mean that I can finally post my Dynasty Mode report from the NBA Live 08 Community Day but I'll be doublechecking that as I can get into a lot of trouble if I'm still not allowed to talk about it yet. Supreme Update Mod V2 Released |

The Supreme Update Mod V2 has been released. You can get it here.
This version includes a few new cyberfaces and tattoos, a modified NLSC roster based off version 1.12 with support for the included Real Shoes patch and updated team and player gear. The courts from SUM V1 have been fixed to stop crashes when using 2x jerseys. Optional updates include a fixed Leather Basketball, a Broadcast Press Camera, and a Lighting Update.
You must have the 2X Armbands and Tattoos patch or else the tattoos will not show up correctly.

NBA Live 08 PC System Requirements |

Gamepressure.com has posted system requirements for the PC version of NBA Live 08, which you can find here. The posted specs are as follows:
- Pentium III 1.3 GHz
- 512 MB RAM
- 64 MB Video Card (GeForce 4 or better)
- 4 GB of HDD space
- Windows XP
Please note that these specs have not been confirmed by EA Sports so you might want to take them with a grain of salt at this point. However, it should be noted that those specs are slightly better than the requirements for NBA Live 07 PC and since the PC version will not be a port of the Xbox 360/PS3 version those specs would seem to be in the ballpark.

Total Renovation Update 07 |

The first version of Total Renovation Update 07 has been released in the Live 03 Add-Ons section. This has been a mod in the works since July, and it replaces many of the art files in NBA Live 2003 to update it to current players, jerseys, logos, courts, etc. Many thanks go out to ALL who have helped to develop this mod in its entirety. Work will still continue to update this mod as much as possible with all facets of the current NBA, so be on the lookout for further work! |

A new version (v1.12) of the current roster update for NBA Live 07 has been released and is available to download here.
Key features of v1.12:
- 2007/2008 Offseason Rosters accurate as of 11/8/07
- All 60 Draftees & undrafted rookies added
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Cyberfaces for missing players
- Portraits for missing players
- Player heights and weights corrected
- Problem with Atlanta Hawks' jerseys fixed
- Philadelphia Sixers' new jerseys added
- Player salaries and contracts updated
- Final 2006/2007 Rosters
- 2006/2007 Opening Night Rosters

Just as an update to the link that was posted yesterday, it now appears as though the NBA Live 08 Soundtrack listing has been removed from Wikipedia suggesting that the information was indeed false. There's has been no official information released on the soundtrack as yet. |

A soundtrack listing for NBA Live 08 has been posted over on Wikipedia with Akon, Jurassic 5, 50 Cent and The Game amongst the artists mentioned. As yet there has been no confirmation that the list is genuine, so take it with a grain of salt.

A new sim league, the NBA Live BALL4REAL League, has launched in anticipation of NBA Live 08. I'm told that the league will utilise real NBA rosters and the 2007/2008 NBA schedule, with daily simulations. They are already accepting applications, so if you think you may be interested please check out their website for more information. |

NBA Live + FIBA World Championship |

TeamXbox has announced that EA Sports and FIBA has signed a multi-year licensing agreement that will bring the FIBA World Championship to the NBA Live series.
NBA Live 08 will feature eight international teams: Spain, Greece, USA, France, Germany, Italy, Argentina and China. And you will be able to play with them in the Play Now mode, as well as the new FIBA World Championship Mode.
