Wrestlemania XXIV is Florida-bound, and so is the next team updated for JUMP 08:
Miami Heat Jersey Patch
This patch gives the Heat:
-Updated home, away and alternate jerseys
-Added the 20th Anniversary logo on the team jerseys
-New practice jerseys
-Corrected colors for every jersey
-Recolored numbers and letters
-New jersey portraits

Only three teams remain over at the All-Star Association: the Nuggets, Pistons and Wizards. If you're interested, register in their forum and post in the GM Applicants section ASAP.

UBL currently has four spots up for grabs: the Mavericks, Nuggets, Spurs and Raptors. For those unfamiliar with UBL, it is a sim league that uses NBA Live 06. Further information can be found over on their website.
The NBA Live Fantasy League is also on the lookout for members and will be holding a fantasy draft before beginning play. Anyone interested should check out their website for more details. |

5w-g.com's Shawn Drotar has selected the Mavericks/Nuggets game as this week's Game of the Week as part of the EA Sportsdesk feature on the official NBA Live 08 website. You can check out Shawn's preview of the game here. The game will be nationally televised on TNT and tips off at 8:00 PM ET. |

A few more leagues have announced GM openings:
NBA General Manager 08 is a sim league that uses up to date NBA rosters. If you're interested, head on over and register an account.
High Balla Dynasty is a Fantasy Draft league that will be using either NBA Live 07 or NBA Live 08. A lot of teams are still open, so if you're interested check out their website.
Finally, NBA Ballers is nearing the start of their season and has 16 teams currently open. The league uses NBA Live 07 with updated rosters, more details can be found on their website. |

The next round of questions with Brian Ullrich have been posted over on the official NBA Live 08 website. Brian mentions that NBA Live 09 will feature a new free throw system and touches on a couple of planned improvements such as removing the delay with Direct Passing and the trajectory, passes and catches on alley-oops. Unfortunately, it seems that Create-a-Team will not be included this year. Check out the complete Q&A here. |

This patch allows you to edit dunk packages from the edit player screen in NBA Live 08. It is the full version that contains the preview animations.

There are a few league announcements from around the community that you may be interested in:
The UBDL is a sim league that uses Fast Break Basketball with up to date rosters. If you'd like to sign up for one of the available teams, check out their forum and register for more information.
Also on the lookout for new GMs is the Dynasty Basketball League, a sim league using NBA Live 08. After the season is over, the winner will be presented with a free team hat of their choice. More details can be found at the DBL website.
Finally, there are currently 19 spots at Luda Balkanska NBA-Live Liga open to players from Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. Full details can be found on their website. |

NBA Live 07 Roster Update v1.20 Released |

A new version (v1.20) of the current roster update for NBA Live 07 is now available to download here. It is mainly a transactions update with the releases and signings that have occurred after the trade deadline.
Key features of v1.20:
- 2007/2008 Season Rosters accurate as of 15/03/08
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Cyberfaces for missing players
- Portraits for missing players
- Coaches updated complete with faces
- Player heights and weights corrected
- Player salaries and contracts updated
- East & West All-Stars Updated
- Rookies & Sophomores Updated

The league is run using Gary Gorski's Total Pro Basketball 2005 and Draft Day Sports: Pro Basketball with an emphasis on emulating the NBA GM experience as realistically as possible. EA Sports have released a post trade deadline update for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of NBA Live 08, available to download now. Note that as always if you wish to play online, you will be prompted to download the latest rosters automatically. |

The NBA Live 09 Wishlist has now been submitted to the NBA Live production team. No more wishes will be included in the official list, however the Wishlist section always remains open so if you still feel like throwing ideas out there and discussing what you'd like to see in the next instalment of NBA Live, please feel free to do so. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Wishlist, as usual I'll be following it up with a supplementary article to further emphasise the key issues. Look for that to be posted shortly.

Peter Moore has posted a new entry in his Inside The Game blog. The latest blog comments on a variety of issues, including the importance of fan feedback, NFL Head Coach and the licensing rights to Formula One. Of particular interest to NBA Live fans is the following paragraph that comments on the future of the PC market:
While we’re committed to the PC as a sports game platform, it’s certainly not a platform without its business challenges due in large part because so many of you have migrated to the console as your primary platform. I think on-line will give us some innovative new ways to re-vitalize the PC sports business again, and we’ ll keep pushing from our end to make that happen. But in the meantime, understand that while we have a limited lineup of EA SPORTS games coming this summer and fall to the PC, we do continue to weigh our options on PC.
