Update on the future of the PC |

EA Sports president Peter Moore has offered further comment on the future of the PC platform and appears to have confirmed NBA Live's return to the PC beginning next year.
"We are retooling these titles [on the PC] to take advantage of the online connectivity in a bigger and more meaningful way," Moore said today, noting that EA's usual sports offerings--Madden, NCAA Football, NBA Live, etc.--will reappear on PC in 2009.
This is obviously very promising news after the announcement regarding NBA Live 09 a few months ago. It is unlikely plans will change in regards to NBA Live 09 but the news would seem to bode well for future releases. |

I'm told that there are still a few teams left over at FDL Dynasty. The fantasy draft has taken place and the league will commence simming games in a few days so if you'd like to join, get in quick and claim your team over at the FDL website. |

NBA Live 09 to be released for the PSP |

There has been some confusion as to whether a Playstation Portable version of NBA Live 09 will be released, as it appears in EA's online store as a pre-order item but not under the list of platforms on the official website. I can confirm that a PSP version of NBA Live 09 will be made in addition to the other platforms and presumably will ship around the same time (October 7th). |

The ASA is currently on the lookout for GMs. The league is a play/sim league which requires members to play or sim one game per week and simulate two others. Check out their website for additional rules and league info. If you'd like to sign up, register and post in the GM Applicants section. |

Sim of Champions is a new league that has just opened and is currently inviting GM applications. All teams are currently open and the administrators will be hand picking the GM for each team. If you're interested, register over at their website and submit an application as soon as possible. |

The ground-breaking feature has now been revealed to the public: NBA Live 365. NBA Live 365 will update NBA Live 09 daily with the latest statistics and game data which will in turn be used to update player ratings and tendencies. The data comes courtesy of Synergy Sports, who are teaming up with EA Sports through an exclusive agreement.
A rundown of the new feature has been posted on the official site, which you can check out here. Producer Nate McDonald has also posted a producer blog on NBA Live 365, which you can check out here. Finally, don't forget to check out opinions from around the community, starting with Pastapadre's report.
I'll be adding my own report to our Community Event coverage later today. |

I've been given the go-ahead to post my report from the NBA Live 09 Community Event last month, which you can now find here in our NBA Live 09 subsite. Please note that there is still an embargo on online features as well as the ground-breaking feature. As soon as I'm given the green light to post reports on them, they'll be added to our Community Event coverage along with an article detailing my overall impressions of the game.

I've just received word that the embargo on the NBA Live 09 Community Event reports will be lifted July 14th, at which point I'll presumably be able to talk about the ground-breaking feature as well. Unfortunately this means I can't answer any questions about NBA Live 09 for a little while longer but please sit tight, as soon as the embargo is lifted come July 14th I'll post my reports and be free to take questions. |
