All-Star Reserves Revealed |

The reserves for the 2009 All-Star Game in Phoenix have been revealed. The Western reserves consist of Shaquille O'Neal, David West, Pau Gasol, Tony Parker, Brandon Roy, Chauncey Billups and Dirk Nowitzki while Jameer Nelson, Rashard Lewis, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson, Chris Bosh, Devin Harris and Danny Granger were selected as the reserves for the East. In the near future we will be bringing you weekly Q&A with NBA Live producer Marcus Stephenson. Marcus has graciously offered to answer up to fifteen questions per week and to that end, we'll be inviting questions from the community which I'll be sending along and posting the answers to when I receive them.
If you'd like to suggest a question for me to ask, please post them here or shoot me an email. So long as your question is civil (and related to NBA Live '10) it will be considered for inclusion. If your question doesn't make the cut, please don't take it personally; feel free to suggest it again and I'll consider it for the next week's list. Note that Marcus will not be able to answer certain questions until later in the production cycle. |

The latest Hot & Cold List and Podcast is now available to check out here over on EA Sports World. For those unfamiliar with the feature, the top ten hottest and coldest players according to the latest DNA/Synergy updates are listed with the podcast providing some additional commentary and analysis.

2009 All-Star Weekend DLC to be released soon |

We've received word that some All-Star Weekend 2009 downloadable content will be made available for NBA Live 09 in the near future, likely a little closer to the event. The content will be free to download and should at least add updated All-Star jerseys. Presumably the NBA Live 365 updates will update the All-Star, Rookie and Sophomore teams as the official roster updates did last year. |

Shawn Drotar is back with another NBA Game of the Week feature on EA Sports World, picking the clash between Eastern powers the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic as the matchup to watch this week. Check out the article here; you can catch the game this Thursday on TNT at 8:00 PM ET.
The NBA Live Dev Team has also posted their picks for this week's NBA games, which you can check out here. NBA Live 09 has also been used to simulate a selection of this week's games with the latest DNA update and you can check out the results here; so far, it's 0-1. |

Dev Team seeks Feedback & 365 Changes |

The NBA Live Development team has posted a blog asking for feedback on players who frequently use the backboard, presumably in the development and enhancement of shooting mechanics in NBA Live 2010. The blog also mentions that glass usage on layups is already being addressed. For more info, check out the blog post here.

All-Star Starters Announced |

All the votes have been counted and the results are in: the starters for the 2009 All-Star Game in Phoenix have been decided. Dwight Howard set a new record garnering over three million votes and will be joined on the Eastern squad by Dwyane Wade, Allen Iverson, LeBron James and Kevin Garnett. The Western starters comprise of last year's MVP Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Yao Ming, Tim Duncan and Amare Stoudemire.

As you may have noticed, we have combined the old NLSC Issues section of the Forum with the Community Switchboard. This section may now be used for all community related topics including league announcements, as well as continuing to serve as a hub for site and forum announcements and a place to post NLSC related questions and issues. If you feel like introducing yourself to the Forum, feel free to do so here as well.
We hope the change will cut down on the superfluous forum sections and give some more visibility to the leagues that post bulletins here in the NLSC Forum. |

An official NLSC online league for the Xbox 360 version of NBA Live 09 has now been setup and we're on the lookout for people to sign up. The Celtics, Lakers and Bulls have been taken but every other team is currently available on a first come, first served basis. For more info, please check out this thread. More details will be made available when we're closer to tipping off play.
We're also still planning on holding some Online Team Play nights, check back soon for times and dates. |

An updated version of the NBA Live Parser by Vl@d Zola Jr. has been added and can be downloaded here. For those unfamiliar with the Parser, it allows you to edit the locale files in NBA Live 2005-08 and thus modify in-game text. |

Welcome to a brand new year here at the NLSC! I hope everyone had a great time with their New Year's Eve celebrations and made it through the night/early morning without being too worse for wear.
I know I've mentioned it before but we're looking forward to a much better year here at the NLSC as we aim to get bigger and better on our new server. We have the benefit of a support team with our current hosting so we should be able to resolve any technical issues very quickly if and when they arise. We are certainly looking forward to much, much less downtime however.
Normal updates will resume tomorrow and look out for some new stuff in the very near future. Thanks again for your support, and Happy New Year! |
