Dev Team Seeking More Feedback |

A new blog entry has been posted over on EA Sports World inviting feedback on the audio in NBA Live '10, specifically the kind of things we'd like to hear from the commentary team of Marv Albert and Steve Kerr, who will be spending a couple of days recording new material for this year's game. This obviously also confirms that Albert and Kerr will be returning to the virtual booth for NBA Live '10.

FileFront Closing March 30th |

For those who are unaware, FileFront will be closing down March 30th and as such, will no longer be available for patchers who are looking for a place to upload their work. Additionally, any files currently hosted there will no longer be available after that date. Only a few of our files are left on FileFront after the move last year, these will be brought across to our own server as soon as possible.
If you're looking to host your work elsewhere, we are now able to offer file hosting again. Please check the appropriate box on our Download Submission form or shoot me an email if you'd like to take advantage of that. nbavg.org also offers free hosting and uploading services, more info can be found here. |

Latest 09 Predictions, Dev Team Picks |

As usual, a selection of the week's games have been simulated using NBA Live 09 with the results being posted over at EA Sports World. The sim has already correctly picked one winner (though not the final score) as the Magic defeated the Celtics today. Check out the rest of the predictions here.

Refs cry foul over fine |

The plot thickens in the wake of Doc Rivers' ejection during the Boston Celtics' 127-121 loss to the Chicago Bulls on March 17th. After the game, Rivers was outspoken about his displeasure with referee Billy Kennedy which earned him the standard $25,000 fine, a consequence that loomed the moment he began to sound off to reporters. In a more surprising move, the league also elected to fine Kennedy for his part in the incident, a decision that has angered the referee's union which will be filing an appeal on his behalf. |

NBA Live 09 has once again been used to sim this week's NBA games over on EA Sports World and the results include a couple of upsets. It remains to be seen whether the real teams will follow the example of their virtual counterparts but in the meantime you can check out the full results here. |

A new edition of the weekly Hot & Cold List has been posted over on EA Sports World, check it out here. Hawks guard Joe Johnson tops the Hot List this week while Rajon Rondo is atop the Cold list having recently returned from injury.

Although we are on much more robust hosting these days, we unfortunately encountered some Forum errors in the past twelve hours. Everything should be working fine now and nothing has been lost. We apologise for the inconvenience, we will do our best to make sure such problems don't plague us as they once did. EA Sports World have launched a new Video Highlight Reel widget which can be used to produce highlight reels comple with music and effects using any videos you have uploaded to EASW, naturally including NBA Live 09 clips. I'm told that the NBA Live Sim League is looking for some active GMs to fill some vacant spots in their league. The season has already started but new members are most welcome, for more details please check out their website.
The NBA Live League also has four openings currently available. Potential applicants can find more info on the NLL website. |

NBA Live PC Required Art (List Updated) |

We've been able to cross a few items off our list of required art for the intial stable release of the NBA Live PC project for NBA Live 06 and have only a few jerseys and courts that still need to be converted so that they can be used properly with NBA Live 06. An updated list of the art we still urgently need can be found here. |

NBA Live PC: Previews & Help Needed |

I'm pleased to say we're getting closer and closer to being able to put out a proper release of the NBA Live PC project for NBA Live 06. It's been a long time coming and difficulties getting everything together have continually pushed the project back but we're aiming to get it out as soon as possible. A stable release is currently being compiled and to that end I've posted a few previews so that you can see how it's coming together. Check them out here.
We're also in urgent need of a few art patches. If we can get these together ASAP, we can get the project out even quicker; perhaps even within the next week. To find out what we need and how you can help, please see this thread. |

Fix for Roster Updates v2.8 |

I've discovered an error with the Knicks roster in the original upload of v2.8 of the current roster updates for both NBA Live 08 and NBA Live 07. Unfortunately I did not reorder their lineup correctly after signing Demetris Nichols in the regular version of the rosters (NLSC0809). I have uploaded fixed versions of both v2.8 releases so if you're downloading the rosters now the problem has already been fixed. However, if you downloaded the rosters earlier today and would like to fix the Knicks' lineup quickly and easily, please download this fix and see the knicks.txt file for further instructions. |

NBA Live 09 Sim, Dev Team Picks |

Once again, NBA Live 09 has been used to simulate a selection of upcoming games with the results being posted here. So far the sim is 1/2, correctly predicting a victory for the Jazz over the Rockets but ultimately being proven wrong in the Spurs/Mavericks game as the Mavs would go on to win the real contest.
The latest results from the Dev Team Pick 'Em pool are in and Matt Lafreniere has topped the NBA Live team thus far. Anyone interested can check out the latest standings and this week's picks by the Dev Team here. |

A new instalment of the weekly Hot & Cold List has been posted over at EA Sports World, which you can check out here. Nets' All-Star point guard Devin Harris tops this week's Hot list while the Suns' Leandro Barbosa is number one on the Cold list.
