IGN Sports have revealed that the cover players for NBA Live '10 and NCAA Basketball '10 will be announced at the 2009 NBA Draft; thanks to Oakrhum for the heads up. With less than a month to go before the NBA Live '10 cover player is unveiled, there's still plenty of time to speculate. Join in the discussion here in the NLSC Forum. |

I've already released my Ron Artest face patch - it includes two version for you to choose from. One is Ron Artest's normal hairstyle and the other is his 2009 "Von Hawk" hairstyle! You can grab it

New Tutorials Section |

The patchmaking tutorials posted in our Forum have now been compiled into a central Tutorials section, organised by game. There is also a section for General resources that apply to several games in the series as well as section for submitting new resources. If you would like to write a tutorial, please feel free to post it in the submissions section. Note that any patchmaking resources posted in other sections will also be moved to the Tutorials section from now on. |

If you've been watching the NBA Playoffs on ESPN, you've probably seen the pre-game crew involving some virtual players in their analysis. ESPN.com has posted some videos of Jon Barry demonstrating how to defend Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant as well as how Chauncey Billups creates his shots, all with the help of their virtual counterparts using EA Sports' Virtual Playbook. Why I'm hoping for a Cavs/Nuggets Finals |

With splits after the first two games of both Conference Finals series and wild finishes in each contest, it seems that anything is possible from this point forward. The 2009 NBA Championship appears to be up for grabs in what should be a great series no matter which two teams emerge to battle it out for the Larry O'Brien trophy. Everyone has their own preference as to which of the four possible matchups they'd like to see as evidenced by the current results of our poll and the discussion taking place in our Forum, but I'd like to take a moment to extol the virtues of my preferred Finals series: Cavaliers vs. Nuggets. |

Our own JaoSming and dragon@4Q have come across a few tidbits of note on NBA Live '10 in the "Ask the Devs" thread over at Operation Sports. Gameplay producer Mike Wang (aka Beluba) has reiterated that NBA Live '10 will feature all-new dribbling animations and with the right timing and skill, we will be able to perform catch-up blocks. I'm pleased to announce a few more new faces are joining the NBA Live Series Center team. Please join me in welcoming Modifly, Kris and buzzy, I'm certain that those names will be very familiar to those of you who enjoy downloading patches for the PC versions of NBA Live.
Once again, look out for some more changes with the team as we might be advertising for some other positions in the near future. We're also looking to make some site-wide improvements as we gear up for another season of previews leading up to the release of NBA Live '10. As always, thanks for your support! |

Please join me in welcoming the newest member of the NLSC Team, dragon@4Q! dragon@4Q should be well-known to a lot of patch users for his excellent jersey patches. He's also a moderator over on the official NBA Live forums and will be helping out around the NLSC Forum as well, in addition to posting news updates here on the main site.
NLSC Team Member and patcher Lean will also be helping out with moderating duties in the NLSC Forum from now on. Look out for some more additions to the team in the near future, we might also be inviting applications for a couple of positions as well so keep your eyes open for those announcements. |

In addition to feedback on accessories, rookie ratings, shot arcs and audio, the Dev Team is now interested in our thoughts on the dunk contest and potential Xbox Live Achievements. The Conference Finals are upon us and as such a new poll is now up, asking which NBA Finals series you'd most like to see: Cavs/Lakers, Cavs/Nuggets, Magic/Lakers or Magic/Nuggets. Cast your vote now!
In our last poll, we asked which second round series you thought would be the most exciting. The Lakers/Rockets series was the most popular choice with 46% of the vote while the Celtics/Magic series came in second with 39%. |

Clippers win 2009 Draft Lottery |

The Los Angeles Clippers will pick first in the 2009 NBA Draft, marking the third time in franchise history the team has won the NBA Draft Lottery. The Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder also lucked out, leapfrogging the Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards to round out the top three selections. No Madden '10 for PC |

Kotaku has confirmed that there will be no PC version of Madden again this year with future plans for the platform "shrouded in mystery". This obviously does not bode well for a PC release of NBA Live '10 but there has been no official word on that yet and recent blogs by EA Sports president Peter Moore have hinted at future releases for the PC in the form of digital downloads and browser based content. We'll do our best to find out more about the future of the series as we expect to have more information come June at the earliest, and hopefully the green light to proceed with some producer Q&As and other content.
Whatever happens with NBA Live '10, we will be doing our best to bring you detailed coverage of it as well as continuing to support our patchmaking community for the older PC releases with the NLSC roster updates, resources and more. As they say, stay tuned!

LeBron named MVP; New Poll |

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James has won his first MVP award in a landslide, receiving 109 of a possible 121 first place votes. 49% of voters in our last poll correctly picked LeBron to win the award, as he becomes the first Cavs player to receive the honour. Discuss the MVP award, the 2009 NBA Playoffs and more in the NBA Talk section of the NLSC Forum.

IGN have posted an interview with the Blazers' All-Star guard Brandon Roy, in which he talks video games including NBA Live and gives his thoughts on Dynamic DNA. The interview also reveals that Roy is one of the players that has provided mo-cap for NBA Live '10, suggesting he's a possible candidate as we speculate on this year's cover player. |

The TLN Sim League over at Lakers Nation is on the lookout for new members to fill vacancies with the Nets, Knicks, Suns, Pistons, Wizards and Warriors. Users require 30 posts to view the Sim League's forum, however I've been told that new applicants may message Massacre for instant activation.
The NLTTL is also gearing up for their eighth season and have a few vacancies. The NLTTL is an offline league and will be holding a fantasy draft to begin the new season, if you're interested please see their website for more details and sign up to claim an available team. |
