As I've mentioned before, I will be releasing new versions of the NLSC Update for NBA Live 2005-08. Also, we now have confirmation that diving and saving balls about to go out of bounds will be in the game this year. Good to see the little things making their way back into the game.

BiggD has released his latest roster update known as up2date today.

Changes include:
- Free Agent signings
- T'Wolves/Thunder Trade
- Added Sam Young to the Grizzlies
- Okafor/Chandler trade
- Corrected numbers
- Bench line ups corrected based on playing time

You can download these rosters in either my or BiggD's EA Lockers, XBL Gamertags: JaoSming & maddoggbenny. Please remove us as your friend after you download the rosters to allow more people to download it. Our friends lists are nearly always full.

Further to the previous item on the seperately released Official NBA Live 10 Soundtrack, the official in-game soundtrack for NBA Live 10 has also been revealed by IGN along with the soundtracks for Madden NFL 10, NHL 10 and FIFA 10. You can check out that announcement here.

Most people have probably seen this linked from the Inside EA Sports blogs and on other websites but somehow we skipped over posting it here. In any case, for those who may have missed it EA has posted a track list for the Official NBA Live 10 Soundtrack along with previews of each track here. The listing also mentions that the official soundtrack will be released on July 31st, 2009. Feel free to weigh in with your thoughts here in the NLSC Forum.

A new podcast with NBA Live 10 Lead Producer Sean O'Brien is up at EA Sports World which you can listen to here.

Sean talks about polishing the gameplay foundation of NBA Live, Synergy Sports technology, individuality through animations, comparing 09 and 10, and how they chose Dwight Howard for the cover. You can discuss this blog in our forums here.

A new producer blog has been posted over on Inside EA Sports, featuring Ryan Santos talking about the visuals in NBA Live 10. It also includes some screenshots showing off player faces, retro and special jerseys, shoes and the new "Hangar" practice gym. You can check it out here.

Operation Sports' Chase Becotte has also posted a "hands-off" preview of NBA Live 10, which you can check out here. Chase's impressions are certainly promising as gives a run-down of play styles, atmosphere and authenticity in NBA Live 10.

G4TV.com has posted a preview of NBA Live 10 here which contains a couple of new snippets about the game. Of note, it mentions crowd and opponent specific chants as well as three "Atmosphere" settings that determine how excited a crowd will be. Presumably, this will allow us to simulate a Finals atmosphere in Play Now games and perhaps even online.

GameSpot has also posted an early preview of NBA Live 10. Amongst other things, it mentions that the game will include "storylines" in Dynasty Mode, such as mention of actual player and team rivalries which will also culminate in crowds booing players or starting "M-V-P" chants. The article also contains some screenshots. GameSpot has also posted a video interview with Mike Wang, which you can view here.

Jon Robinson has posted an exclusive preview of NBA Live 10 over at ESPN.com, which you can check out here. Titled "NBA Live 10: Five Things to Know", it gives us a quick peek at the game with quotes from Sean O'Brien revealing a few details along with some screenshots. The new "Hangar" is explained and the presence of retro jerseys is also confirmed in the article; in short, it is well worth checking out if you're hungry for information on NBA Live 10.

While it is still subject to confirmation, a Tweet by NBA Live 10 producer Garreth Reeder appears to suggest that retro jerseys will be available this year, along with "special" jerseys (presumably additional alternates such as St Patrick's Day and tribute jerseys). More information as it becomes available, thanks to our own JaoSming for the heads up.

According to a Tweet by producer Marcus Stephenson, a new NBA Live 10 Trailer will be shown tomorrow night on Spike's GameTrailers TV. Presumably the trailer will be made available on the GameTrailers website not long afterwards. Don't forget to join in the discussion in our NBA Live 10 section, where you can talk about the trailer after it airs.

The list of features over on the official NBA Live 10 website has been updated following the launch. Our NBA Live 10 info page and the Wiki entry have been updated to reflect the latest list, however it's worth noting that a recent Twitter post by producer Garreth Reeder has mentioned that a full list of features is yet to be announced and there's still a lot we've yet to discover in terms of the game's finer points. The current list certainly invites spectulation though, especially features such as "Dynamic Season"; sound off and share your theories in the NBA Live 10 section of the Forum.

Thanks to everyone who's offered feedback on the first instalment of my 10 for '10 series of NBA Live 10 articles, which covered my hopes for gameplay. In case you missed it, you can check it out here. I've received word from the guys over at NBA-Live LT that they've opened a Twitter account which you can follow at twitter.com/NLLT. While NBA-Live LT is a Lithuanian NBA Live website, I'm told they intend on translating Tweets into English as they do share their updates with the NBA Live community at large.

Having more or less recovered from a Fallout 3 addiction (for which I completely blame Bethesda Softworks) and with NBA Live 10 news and previews right around the corner, I've picked up my NBA Live 09 Dynasty game once again. As I continue to play my way through the season, I'm reminded of all the things I really liked about NBA Live 09 on the Xbox 360 but also a lot of things I'd like to see improved in NBA Live 10. I'll be talking about those much desired improvements beginning today in a feature I'm calling 10 for 10, comprising of the ten things I feel need to be done for NBA Live 10 (and am hoping to see) in different areas of the game ranging from gameplay to Dynasty Mode to online features and more.

As many of you may have already seen, the launch of the official NBA Live 10 site has unveiled a list of features, which we've added to our info page as well as the Wiki entry for NBA Live 10. You can also see a copy of the features list below.

At this early stage, information is certainly subject to change and there's a lot more we have yet to learn about NBA Live 10. However, the list certainly invites speculation as it seems to hint at a revamped Academy-type mode as well as expansion to the replay editing features introduced in NBA Live 09. BiggD has released the newest version of up2date!

Latest release contains the last of the 1st round draftees and a few 2nd rounders, updates the numbers for a few players and all signings as of today.

Send your friend requests now to get the rosters, but please, remove us from your friends list once you download it so we don't have to remove people who haven't downloaded it yet to get others in.

Some videos featuring Dwight Howard playing NBA Live '10 at the EA Sports' King of the Court event have been posted on various Twitter pages, giving us a glimpse of the game. This video gives us a look at the improved player introductions for the NBA Finals, also showing off player specific pre-game rituals and custom accessories. The second video features Dwight Howard offering his enthusiastic commentary on the game as well as making mention of the inclusion of Dwyane Wade's signature jump stop. We're pleased to unveil a brand new NBA Live Wiki to the NBA Live Community! The new Wiki is powered by MediaWiki, the software originally written for Wikipedia and will allow us to make much more of a community project. There is still much work to be done in making the Wiki as comprehensive and informative as possible with many more articles yet to be written, but we hope that the articles we're launching with will be enough to get us started.

Currently, we are requiring all contributors to register a free account. We are doing this because we have a more limited number of volunteers at this time and we want to discourage anonymous trolling and vandalism. As the Wiki grows and we've got more people helping out, we will look towards opening up anonymous edits in the true Wiki spirit, however we will continue to encourage registration to promote a community atmosphere.

On a similar note, while we want the Wiki to be a fun community project we do ask that you be responsible in your edits and understand that the Wiki is intended to be an informative resource for the NBA Live Community. By all means enjoy and contribute to the Wiki but please, no silliness in the articles.

Our NBA Live '10 Subsite has now been launched and will serve as a central hub for all NBA Live '10 news, features and screenshots that we post. As usual, any resources that we compile for NBA Live '10 will also be listed in the subsite. With EA Sports remaining tight-lipped about NBA Live '10 for the moment there is not much in the way of content in the subsite at this time, however with a swag of news, previews and other features right around the corner you can expect a lot more NBA Live '10 content in the near future.

Since I'm still receiving questions about the rosters, I would like to mention once again that I am indeed releasing new updates for NBA Live 2005 through NBA Live 08. However, the post-Draft update is a large and time consuming one so I cannot set a release date. I am working my way through creating all the draftees though and will do my best to get the rosters out as soon as possible.

One thing that does continue to hold back the release of the rosters however is the need for cyberface patches, especially the prominent 2009 draftees. If you're a cyberface patcher and would like to help out, you can check out a list of currently needed faces here.

Over the past week I have been flooded with over 150 different people looking to download the NLSC roster. Unfortunately, I can't say I am that proud of my CAPs, rosters, and ratings for that many people. You guys deserve the best roster update available.

Someone has done a fantastic job updating the game, and I'm pleased to announce that biggD is going to mirror his updates here! biggD is an active poster over at OperationSports and has been maintaining a post draft roster since June 25th. His latest update is from July 9th, which includes the Marion trade, various rookie additions and number changes.

Next Monday, EA Sports will be hosting an event at their studios that will pit NBA Live '10 cover player Dwight Howard against tennis superstar Venus Williams, Milan Lucic of the NHL's Boston Bruins and Sacha Kljestan from Chivas USA as each sports star will try to best one another at their own game to crown the King of the Court. According to this blog post, some footage and information on their respective EA games will also be revealed at the event, though certain details will be under embargo at first and will be unveiled at a later time.

This should mean that a better glimpse of NBA Live '10 is right around the corner, with the opportunity for our Q&As and other features hopefully not too far away either. Thanks to huddy187 for the heads up.

In our last poll, 45% of voters felt that the 2008/2009 NBA season was great, with a further 31% deeming it good. 10% of voters did not particularly enjoy last season however, with 6% going so far as calling it terrible. As we look ahead to next season, remember you can discuss the offseason transactions and more here in the NLSC Forum.

A new poll is now up, simply asking which platform you'll be playing NBA Live '10 on; cast your vote now! In addition to being a rather standard question at this time of the year, it's also a bit of "market research" for us as we look to include some more console content in addition to our updates for the PC. In the latest NBA Live '10 podcast over on the official website, producer Marcus Stephenson suggests that gameplay footage could be made available in the next couple of weeks. You can listen to the show here. I know I've said this many times before, but as soon as we get the green light from EA's PR department we hope to do some features with the NBA Live '10 Dev Team and we have a few other things in store as we get ready for a slew of NBA Live '10 news, previews and information, so stay tuned.

And yes, roster updates for the older PC releases will be coming too. I still can't set release dates for those but I'm working on them and will do my best to get them out ASAP. I appreciate everyone's patience as far as that is concerned, and thanks as always for your support of the roster updates!

Another roster update, another 3 rookies: DeRozan, Evans, and Flynn join the fun as I also sent Rasheed Wallace to Boston.

As for the rumored roster, I still have Iverson in Miami, but moved Kidd back to Dallas.

As first reported by a local station last night, and then reported today on ESPN.com, I moved Big Baby to the Spurs and Grant Hill to Boston...which according to my station is a done deal and will be announced Thursday or Friday. I also have Robert Swift moved to the Celtics since he is currently playing in a Summer League game on the Celtics. And finally, I caught it right before I posted the rosters, I included the proposed sign and trade that would bring Marion to Dallas and Stackhouse to Toronto.

So enjoy, and feel free to add me as a friend on XBL to download the rosters, Gamertag JaoSming; and if you have previously added me and we aren't friends anymore, I've had to start trimming people to allow more people to add me, nothing personal, just add me again.

For anyone who might be looking for the Rating Machine by CERVANTES and Dirk#41, two versions are now available in our Downloads section.

Rating Machine v2.1

Both versions are available as v2.1 only calculates ratings after the user inputs stats while v2.3 can also make changes to NBA Live's database files.

I have uploaded new versions of the "Official" NLSC NBA Live 09 (360) roster updates.

I added Griffin, Thabeet, and Harden to their respective teams and have signed Turkoglu to the Raptors.

In the rumored roster I signed Allen Iverson to the Miami Heat as ESPN reported the rumor.

The rookies are available in both rosters and are also available to download into your own roster if you wish. Rosters and created players are available in my EA Locker, Gamertag: JaoSming

A couple of years ago, I was sitting nervously in the WaMu Theatre at Madison Square Garden watching the 2007 Draft unfold, wearing a brand new Ben Gordon authentic jersey that I'd just paid $175 for and hoping he wouldn't be traded less than 48 hours after I'd bought it. It wasn't just about the jersey though, as I genuinely felt that Gordon should be a big part of the team's future. When contract negotiations repeatedly stalled the last couple of seasons, I hoped both sides would work out their differences and come to an agreement before another team entered the picture.

So much for that.

NBA Live '10 producer Marcus Stephenson has posted a new blog over on Inside EA Sports talking about the DNA for rookies Blake Griffin, Hasheem Thabeet and Stephen Curry. For those unaware of the situation with likeness rights, it also contains a brief explanation as to why certain rookies cannot be included in the default rosters. Check it out here.

The blog also mentions that we're getting closer and closer to NBA Live '10 news with a little more "meat", so stay tuned.

I've released a non-rookie roster update for NBA Live 09 for the 360. There are currently 2 rosters available, an "official" roster with all confirmed player moves and signing since the last 365 update and a second roster containing rumored player transactions.

The plan is to add the rookies sometime this weekend to be available to download both in the rosters and individually into your own roster.

These are available to download from my EA Locker right now. Feel free to add my gamertag: JaoSming to download the rosters.

According to Gamestop.com, NBA Live '10 is set to ship in North America for all platforms on October 6th 2009, the same day as NBA 2K10. As always we have a release date thread stickied in the NLSC Forum, feel free to post any dates for your region of the world so that we may compile a list. We've also tentatively started our annual countdown thread, so if you haven't yet signed up for the Forum yet please feel free to do so and join in on the fun.

An October 6th release date for NBA Live '10 will likely mean that the NBA Live '10 demo will be available for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in early September. Previous demos have been released on a Thursday, so it's worth noting that the first Thursday in September will fall on the third. We'll be sure to post more information as it comes in.

As you may have noticed, we've changed things around a little with the NLSC Forum. We have condensed a lot of sections for the older releases in the series and categorised all NBA Live releases prior to NBA Live '10 as "Older NBA Lives". We are also now utilising just one support section for all NLSC roster updates and merged the Global Hoops section back into NBA Talk, while Video Game Stories is now a subforum under Video Games Central.

These changes have been made to clean up the clutter, give better visibility to a few sections that may have been previously overlooked by some visitors and hopefully make browsing the Forum a lot easier in general.
