Further to yesterday's post about the release of NBA Live 10 for the iPhone and iPod Touch, a few screenshots and a list of features have been made available. Check them out below or here in the NLSC Forum.
Interestingly, unlockable Legends are one of the listed features and NBA Live 10 producer Ryan Santos also mentioned Legends in an interview a while back. We probably should not read too much into it for now, but perhaps the return of Legends in future NBA Lives for other platforms isn't too far-fetched...so long as all the obstacles with likeness rights are cleared. |

2009/2010 Sim, Predictions, Rosters & More |

The 2009/2010 NBA season is upon us, tipping off with four games today. EA Sports have run a simulation of the season using NBA Live 10, with the game predicting that LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will walk away with the crown this year. Check out the results here.
On the subject of NBA Live 10, don't forget the official update has been released for the Xbox 360, with Playstation 3 users most likely receiving the update later this week. With the tipoff of the NBA season, Dynamic Season data will also become available so be sure to check that out if you've got the game.
I'm still putting the finishing touches on the new rosters for NBA Live 2005 through NBA Live 08. Hopefully they'll be out later today or sometime tomorrow. I may have to release the 06 update without nick_collison's excellent speech updates for now, but a speech update pack will be made available both seperately and as part of the full package download for 06's NBA Live PC Project as soon as possible.
Finally, we've started this year's daily predictions thread in the NBA Talk section of the NLSC Forum. Feel free to join in at any time during the 2009/2010 season, but get in quick if you want to post predictions for opening night. |

NBA Live 10 Gameplay Update for Xbox 360 |

An update for NBA Live 10 on the Xbox 360 is now available through Xbox Live. Your Xbox should prompt you to download the update when you run the game as long as your 360 is connected to the internet.
Details on the many updates can be viewed here in our forum, or by clicking "Read Complete Article" at the bottom right. Thanks to the EA Sports NBA Live Community Manager blackflash83 for posting the information.
On behalf of the NBA Live Series Center, I'd like to say thank you to the NBA Live 10 developers for providing a patch with so many updates in less than a month since the release date.
PS3 users should be able to update the game later this week. |

With the tipoff of the 2009/2010 NBA season looming, I'd like to remind anyone still playing NBA Live 2005 through NBA Live 08 on the PC that I will have new roster updates out within the next couple of days, just in time for the new season. As usual, I will make use of generic faces if I don't have a real face for a player or coach but I would like to make one last call for art contributions before v3.2 is compiled and released. NLSC Matchup: Bulls vs Clippers, Game 3 |

With the best-of-seven series tied at 1, Game 3 of the "unlikely finals" between Andrew's Chicago Bulls and my Los Angeles Clippers is over. The Clippers held the Bulls to only 2 points in the 4th quarter along with 8 blocks on the defensive end, winning by 14 with a score of 41-27.

Unlockable Jerseys in NBA Live 10 |

I've received confirmation from Ryan Santos that there are indeed unlockable jerseys in NBA Live 10, so what we've seen so far is not the entire selection the game has to offer. He also mentioned that codes will be out in the not too distant future for the first set of unlockables, so keep your eyes peeled for them. |

It's a little old, but I've received word that Electric Playground have posted a video interview with NBA Live 10 lead gameplay designer Mike Wang, which you can check out here. In the interview, Mike talks about the improvements to gameplay and visuals in NBA Live 10, gives another rundown of Dynamic Season and mentions a couple of the things that were focused upon this year. |

NBA Live 10 Themes and Gamer Pictures are now available to download from the Xbox Marketplace. Themes for all 30 NBA teams as well as a custom theme for cover player Dwight Howard are available for 240 Microsoft Points each. Gamer Pictures featuring NBA team logos are also available as six seperate packs (sorted by division) with each pack costing 80 Microsoft Points. |

Game 2 of the "unlikely finals" best-of-seven series between Andrew's Chicago Bulls and my Los Angeles Clippers is complete. Chicago played great defense forcing missed shots and turnovers on route to winning by 15.

Brought to you by some of the former members of GamingAccess.com, NBA2KWay.com is part of a new patching network known as ModdingWay and already has some tools and patches available for NBA 2K9, while being poised to support the patching community for NBA 2K10.

5WGaming.com's Shawn Drotar has posted a review of NBA Live 10 with the verdict being largely positive.
"Top to bottom, the improvement in this series in a single year is hard to believe; it’s far more of an evolutionary leap than it is a simple renovation. For the past few years, NBA Live was worse than bad - it was irrelevant. That’s all changed."

Note about some Dynamic DNA Issues |

Some of you may have experienced some problems downloading the initial Dynamic DNA update for NBA Live 10. I've been informed that this is due to an issue with entitlements in online user profiles for both Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. The issues are server related and the NBA Live team are currently testing fixes for the problem, which should be addressed very soon.
Additionally, as I mentioned a couple of days ago the official Dynamic DNA updates will not commence until October 26th, just in time for the 2009/2010 NBA season. |

NBA Live 10 Impressions & Bug Report Threads |

With the game released and people starting to pick up their copies, we've created an official impressions thread in the NLSC Forum which you can find here. Feel free to post any quick impressions there, but if you'd like to ask a question about the game, discuss an aspect of the game in-depth or post your own full review please don't hesitate to create a new thread. That's what the NBA Live 10 section of the Forum is for, after all!
We've also set up a Bug Report thread to provide the Dev Team with detailed feedback on things we'd like to see addressed by an official patch. Please feel free to post your own concerns and any issues that you encounter in that thread and we'll be sure to update our listing for the producers' benefit.
Finally, don't forget that I've got a Q&A thread running here where I'll do my best to answer any questions you have about the game. I'm a little behind at the moment as I still have yet to explore a few aspects of the game in-depth but keep posting questions and checking back as I'll post my answers as soon as I can. |

The wait is over! If you live in the United States or Canada, it will only be a matter of hours before you can get your hands on NBA Live 10. Feel free to post in this thread once you get the game and start discussing your impressions and more in the NBA Live 10 section. If you live in New York and can get to the NBA Store, don't forget you'll have an opportunity to receive one of a hundred free copies of the game.
I've also got my hands on the game, so if you have any questions about the game please post them in our NBA Live 10 Q&A thread and I'll do my best to answer them. Expect a lot of content beginning tomorrow, with impressions and a full review coming in the not too distant future. Some stores in Australia have already started putting NBA Live 10 on the shelves so you might want to put in a call to your nearest store as soon as tomorrow if you'd like to get your hands on the game the same time as the gamers in the US.
Finally, our poll has been updated for the release of NBA Live 10. 64% of voters in the last poll felt that the NBA Live 10 demo was good or great, with a further 15% satisfied enough to deem it average. What are your impressions of the full version? Cast your vote now! |

EA Sports have sent along a reminder that all new copies of NBA Live 10 include a code to activate an NBA Live 365 subscription. If you are buying the game new, do not purchase a subscription from the Xbox Live Marketplace or the PSN Store; you will only need to purchase a subscription if you're buying a second hand copy.
I've also been told that the Dynamic DNA updates will begin as of October 26th 2009, in time for the start of the 2009/2010 NBA season. |

For those who are unaware, the NBA Store in New York will be hosting a special event for the launch of NBA Live 10. The first one hundred people to visit Customer Service will receive a free copy of the game compliments of Dwight Howard. Final notes about PAL release dates |

I've been told that the release date for NBA Live in PAL regions (ie Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe) is October 9th for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and October 16th for Playstation Portable. However, a few of my local stores here in Australia as well as some Australian online stores are listing October 8th or even October 7th as the release date, so if you're keen to get the game you might want to put in a call as early as Wednesday.
A note for everyone who's picking up NBA Live 10, if you want to post in the NLSC Forum and announce to your fellow gamers that you've got your hands on a copy, please use this thread. If you want to post in-depth on other NBA Live 10 related topics or post your own full review of the game please feel free to start new threads but if you just want to say that you've got the game and let everyone know where you've got it, please use the aforementioned stickied thread. |

What The.....? NBA Live 09 DNA Rosters Updated |

Following a tip from rfc redheat over at OS I checked out the NBA Live 09 DNA Roster update today. And sure enough, EA has released a new DNA 365 update with updated rosters.
Shaq is in Cleveland, T-Mac is wearing #3, and Blake Griffin...is in the game?!
Rookies do make appearances on their respective teams but they all have a generic head and body. Going into edit player lets you choose between 9 heads for the rookies but doesnt let you use the CAP sliders on them to make them accurate.
The next question is.....why? NBA Live games have never updated past the draft, what is going on here? It could be one of two things going on here. One idea is EA is living up to the DNA 365 name and actually updating it 365 days a year...though not likely since this update wasn't around when I was releasing BiggD's roster updates.
The second and more probable option is that this is a Live 10 DNA update, and Live 09 is just accessing it.
Either way, if you live in an area like me where all the stores understand the concept of a release date, pop in Live 09 for the next 2 days to hold you over till your NBA 2010 game of choice. |

IGN have posted a written review of NBA Live 10 here and a video review here, along with five other new video clips. IGN have awarded NBA Live 10 a score of 8.2, a very respectable increase from last year's score of 6.5 for NBA Live 09. Post your thoughts on the videos here and the written review here; thanks to XxHyperDunk24 for the heads up on the latest videos.

Pastapadre has posted an evaluation of NBA Live 10's performance following an install to the hard drive. He mentions that doing so has yielded improved loading times and stress to the system. Pasta has also posted some new screenshots displaying player ratings from all the teams in the game, including some of the top players in the free agent pool. You can check them out here. Some changes to the NLSC Forum |

You may have noticed a couple of changes to the NLSC Forum, namely the addition of a few new sections and the condensing of some old ones. As attention shifts away from the previous releases, we've combined some of our old NBA Live sections so that each game from NBA Live 2003 through NBA Live 09 utilises just one section apiece, in addition to a combined section dedicated to discussion of NBA Live 95 through NBA Live 2002.
We have also added a couple of new NBA Live 10 sections as well as some new NBA 2K10 sections for our visitors who prefer 2K's game, in anticipation of the release of both games next week. A section for NCAA Basketball 10 has also been added and the NBA 2K9 sections have been archived with the older NBA Live releases. The general NBA Live discussion area has also been opened up to threads for all NBA video games (including the NBA Live series as a whole), past or present. NBA Street, NBA Jam, Tecmo's new NBA game for XBL Arcade...you name it.
We hope you like the revamped Forum and won't find the changes too difficult to get used to. If you have any questions about the changes to the Forum, please let us know. Once again, please let me stress that in spite of all the changes we are most certainly remaining an NBA Live website and it will remain the focus of our coverage. Look out for new roster updates soon as well as lots of stuff for NBA Live 10 once we get our hands on it. |

Download Submissions for 2K9, 2K10 |

As you may have seen in the NLSC Forum, we are now accepting download submissions for NBA 2K9 (and when it comes out, NBA 2K10) for the PC. Although we will continue to be an NBA Live site, we realise there is a growing patching community for the PC versions of 2K and as such we would like to offer those patchers wider facilities.
For anyone who's concerned about us turning our backs on the NBA Live series however, allow me allay your fears. We will still be an NBA Live website first and foremost so you can expect more NLSC roster updates for NBA Live 2005 through NBA Live 08 along with other file additions and of course, lots of content for NBA Live 10 once it is released. These changes are an addition to our facilities and certainly not a change in the focus of the NBA Live Series Center. Rest assured that if NBA Live does return to the PC platform, we'll be doing all we can to support the inevitable revived NBA Live patching community. |

EA Sports World have launched a new section dedicated to locating squads for adidias LIVE Run, which you can find here. Facilities to search (and create) clubs will also naturally be accessible from within NBA Live 10 but this year we will also be able to do so from the web. The seasonal, squad and player leaderboards for adidas LIVE Run are also on display. |

For those who haven't seen it yet, nbalivemixtape.com is offering the chance to download three songs from the NBA Live 10 soundtrack free of charge. Two of the tracks are already available, namely "Mind Got Blown" by Mickey Factz & B.o.B and "Class Of Our Own" by Mick Boogie featuring Kidz In The Hall, Donnis & Daytona. "La La La" by De La Soul will be available for download tomorrow. |
