The mobile version of NBA 2K13 is now available for iOS and Android devices. The iOS version, available for $7.99 on iTunes, is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad, and requires iOS 5.0 or later. The Android version is also available for $7.99 through Google Play and requires Android 4.0 and up.

NBA 2K13 Mobile supports multiplayer and features a multiseason franchise mode, an NBA’s Greatest Games mode, updated rosters, TV-style presentation and intuitive One-Finger controls. As you may have noticed, some of the courts in NBA 2K13 are outdated out for the 2012/2013 season. While our talented modding community for the PC version has already begun releasing high quality court and arena updates, Ronnie has confirmed that we can expect official updates with the new court designs to be released around the beginning of the season.

Official roster updates will also continue to be released with the first roster dropping last week, though there hasn’t been any word as yet on when the next roster update will be made available. In the meantime, be sure to check out our NBA 2K13 Downloads and the NBA 2K13 Releases & Previews section of the Forum, where you’ll find all the latest stuff from the modding community!

Some Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users have been experiencing an issue in NBA 2K13 where the All-Star Weekend DLC causes the game to automatically simulate to the end of the season in MyCAREER and Association. If you’re one of those unlucky folks who have been afflicted, please be advised that 2K is aware of the issue and according to Ronnie, a fix will be included in an upcoming patch. As yet, there is no word on when that patch will be released. Remember to post any bugs that you come across in any version of the game in this thread in our Forum.

In other news, PC users who are waiting for the digital download version of NBA 2K13 to be released will have to wait a little longer as the DD version is now slated for release on October 30th. No reason has been given for the delay at this time. For the latest details and discussion of the delay, check out this thread in the NBA 2K13 section.

2K Sports have now officially launched their NBA 2K Everywhere experience, with the release of the MyNBA2K companion app for iOS and Android devices along with the NBA 2K MyLIFE Facebook game. Both the app and the game can be linked to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of NBA 2K13, allowing you to earn VC and unlock an exclusive dunk package and two custom t-shirts for your MyPLAYER through various mini-games, as well as boost their attributes.

Today’s file additions for NBA 2K13 continue to show off the ingenuity and skill of our modding community, beginning with Leftos releasing new versions of his Roster Editor and Workarounds Tool. A few folks have discovered how to unlock superstar players for use in Blacktop Mode in the PC version and have released rosters that does this automatically. Finally, some new faces, a global and Jowe’s sideline commentators, cheerleaders and referee pack have also been added to the database. There has been a fantastic workaround floating around the community the past few days that allows the PC version of NBA 2K13 to have similar player shadow effects as the console versions. It is possible to manually override a few settings to force SSAO effects in NBA 2K13, but note that this currently works for Nvidia graphics card users only. The results look pretty good at the right angle, but keep in mind that this will have a negative effect on performance.

As noted by Andrew’s daily roundup of new additions to our Download Database, I have released the first version my NBA Street mod for NBA 2K13. As always, I have ensured that no original files are overwritten, meaning you can play NBA Street 2K13 without interfering with existing patches, saves, or original files.

This was the most extensive first release I’ve done for a 2K street mod. The mod uses nine different street courts and 60 uniforms. Unlike last year where I made NBA Street Homecourt inspired uniforms, this year I simply replaced the shorts of the default home and away uniforms with each team’s practice shorts.

As always, this mod is continually updated throughout the year until NBA 2K14 is released, so be sure to check out my Release Thread for all future updates including new uniforms and courts. You can download NBA Street 2K13 v1 in the NLSC Download Database.

2K Sports has announced that NBA 2K13 has set a franchise record for first week sales, having sold through 49 percent more copies than NBA 2K11, the previous record holder. This includes a 66 percent increase in international sales over NBA 2K11, along with a 127 percent increase in the number of online games being played compared to NBA 2K12.
