Matt Bertz of Game Informer has posted an in-depth preview of MyGM in NBA 2K15, providing 29 facts about this year’s mode. Needless to say, a lot of great work has gone into MyGM year, adding depth, enhancing features, and addressing some concerns.
Key improvements have been made to the conversation system, owner demands are now more dynamic, and press and players alike will hold you accountable for your words. Total Sim Control has been replaced by the Coach Gameplan, rookie scouting has been revamped and expanded with the simulation of a full college season each year, and there have been improvements to the player progression and injury systems.
In very welcome news, there has also been a move away from the approach to Virtual Currency that we saw in last year’s iteration of MyGM mode. Although boosts will still be available to purchase through VC, basic functionality such as lineup management and trades will not be behind a VC wall. Perks and extras can also be earned without VC, so VC will be more of a shortcut than a necessity.
