2K Sports have released the next Developer Diary video, this time focusing on the improvements to gameplay in NBA 2K14 current gen. Producers Rob Jones, Jerson Sapida and Mike Wang describe the gameplay as being faster paced and better balanced compared to previous years, while also emphasising their desire to make the current gen version a quality release and not phone it in with the next gen consoles looming on the horizon.
Some of the improvements that are mentioned include enhancements to the AI at both ends of the floor, better spacing, the new blocking system, increased contact in the paint and a more realistic number of fouls. There’s also plenty of in-game footage to check out as the guys are talking about it, so watch the Diary below or over on YouTube if you can’t see the embedded video. Feel free to add your thoughts in the comments below, as well as in this thread in the NBA 2K14 section of the Forum. Thanks to jiplatino for the heads up!
