The next Developer Diary for the current generation version of NBA 2K14 has been released, covering all of the different controls for the new Pro Stick. If you haven’t heard already, the right stick on dual analog controllers can now control the user’s dribbling, shooting, and flashy passing mechanics. Flashy passing requires a modifier to trigger, while dribbling is performed by flicks and shooting by holds. If it sounds like a bit much, there is an option in the menus to switch the right stick back to dribble controls only with shooting mapped to X or Square, according to those with review copies of the game.
While the rest of us wait out the last four days until the actual release date, feel free to comment on the new controls in the comments below or in this Forum thread.
