IGN’s Ryan McCaffrey has posted his review of the next gen version of NBA 2K14, in both written and video format. He’s awarded it a score of 8.9 out of 10, praising its aesthetics, pacing and AI, but expressing some frustration with the amount of loose balls and the tendency for players to be magnetically drawn to their defensive assignment.
Other high points include the presentation, attention to detail on players and coaches and the new game modes, though Ryan does mention some reservations and suggests that there are a few elements of MyCAREER, MyGM and The Park that leave something to be desired. On the whole though, it’s certainly a positive take on the game and the video review gives us some more gameplay footage to enjoy.
