2K Sports has posted images of the three NBA 2K16 covers, featuring Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, and James Harden. The names of all three players appear on each of the covers, along with a collage of their respective players, and two tag lines: “Featuring a Spike Lee Joint”, and “Be The Story”. Notably, Dell Curry appears in one of the photos on Stephen Curry’s cover, while James Harden’s cover interestingly features a photo from his Oklahoma City Thunder days.
Additionally, the first commercial for NBA 2K16 aired just prior to Game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals tipping off. Not surprisingly, it did not include any gameplay footage, but instead featured Spike Lee, hyping his role in developing the story for this year’s MyCAREER mode. As previously noted, this year’s MyCAREER will see gamers taking control of an aspiring basketball player named Frequency Vibrations.
You can check out the artwork for all three NBA 2K16 covers below, along with the first commercial. What do you think of the NBA 2K16 covers and commercial? What do you make of this year’s MyCAREER mode? Sound off in the comments section below, and join in the discussion taking place in the Forum.

As talked about in the podcast I think the thing that puts me off mycareer is the players personality or should I say “the jacked up punk” who is using my name.
It will be interesting to see what Spike Lee can do story wise though.
Fortunately, it seems that Frequency Vibrations is just a placeholder, and/or nickname. Still, the point stands about the character and branching career paths.
