NBA 08 is the third game in the NBA: Featuring the Life series developed by SCE San Diego Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was released on October 2nd 2007 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. Amar'e Stoudemire appeared on the game's cover, having previously appeared on the cover of NBA 06. It is the direct sequel to NBA 07 and was followed by NBA 09: The Inside.

Unlike most NBA games, NBA 08's career mode has a story. After last year's championship win, a decorated head coach announces that he is retiring. It's up to the user to make his last year successful.
