The Hangar is a new practice facility introduced in
NBA Live 10, replacing the
NBA Academy as the boot-up
Practice Mode in NBA Live. It was designed as the ultimate NBA player practice facility and inspired in part by Nike's commercial for the Nike Air Force 1's 25th anniversary campaign. It consists of a practice court located inside a spacious building somewhat resembling an airplane hangar, hence its name. Users are able to shoot around with the top players in the game (all of whom wear signature apparel) and can be tutored in the gameplay mechanics through pop-ups. The video screens seen in the NBA Academy also make a return and will display user highlights, ESPN content and video on demand content from the EA servers. NBA Live 10 news and updates will also be streamed via dynamic on-screen messaging while in The Hangar.
