Control Stick
The Control Stick is a gameplay mechanic utilised by the NBA 2K series, introduced in NBA 2K13. It allows the user to perform Isomotion dribbling moves with the right analog stick, somewhat similar to Freestyle Control in the NBA Live series. By holding the left trigger, users can switch between the dribbling moves of the Control Stick and shooting controls of the Shot Stick. Alternatively, the user can elect to set the Shot Stick as the default controls for the right analog stick, thus holding the left trigger to engage the Control Stick and perform dribbling moves instead.
In NBA 2K14, the Control Stick has been replaced by the Pro Stick, an evolution of the concept.
