Freestyle Passing is a gameplay mechanic introduced in NBA Live 10. It allows users to make quick passes by holding the Direct Pass button and flicking the right analog stick towards a teammate. The mechanic continues to be utilised in new NBA Live releases.
Freestyle passes are only thrown when holding the Direct Pass button, otherwise the right stick will perform dribbling moves as usual.
