  • We're glad to see the tutorial videos for NBA Live 14, but we really hope that we get a practice mode via the forthcoming patch.
  • Speaking of patches, the fourth title update came through for NBA 2K14 on Xbox One and is coming soon on PlayStation 4. No gameplay tweaks, but some much needed fixes.
  • The 2014 All-Star starters have been announced, though at least one has already been ruled out due to injury. Who will replace him, and who will jump centre for the East?
  • We reflect on some impressive scoring performances by Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Terrence Ross.

  • We also take a quick glance at some recent winning and losing streaks, while expressing our support for former Australian Boomers head coach Brett Brown in his current gig with the Philadelphia 76ers.
  • LeBron James had a big night with 61 points, though Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins wasn’t as impressed as others were by the performance. Do we agree with the Human Highlight Film?
  • Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash may be done for the season. Should they even consider returning at this point?
  • New NBA commissioner Adam Silver had some interesting things to say at the 2014 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. We comment on some of his ideas.

  • Virtual Currency continues to be an issue in NBA 2K14 next gen, as rewards seemingly have been nerfed in MyGM. We wring our hands a little in frustration.
  • On a happier note, JaoSming received some excellent technical support for the MyNBA2K14 app.
  • We discuss some ideas for keeping basketball gaming fresh and interesting after a few months.

  • Another Coach's Corner has been posted, as usual giving us a few more tidbits on the further development of the NBA Live series.
  • What direction do we see NBA Live 15 and NBA 2K15 taking? We talk about our expectations for the immediate future of both series.
  • Basketball video game modding is getting more attention in the mainstream gaming media, as Polygon posted a piece on MGX's Space Jam mod.
  • JaoSming talks a little about his latest projects and recent modding developments. We also announce a new project by bigh0rt.
  • We reminisce about our earliest experiences with basketball video games, and some of the fond memories we have of playing them over the years.

  • NBA Live 15 has been confirmed, but unfortunately, it's console only. We briefly mourn that fact, but pledge to campaign on behalf of the PC platform if the opportunity arises.
  • Similarly, NBA 2K15 is already available to pre-order, on the same platforms as last year. The price of the PC version leads us to speculate on a next gen port.
  • Kevin Durant has been confirmed as the cover player for NBA 2K15, the same day he was named the NBA's Most Valuable Player. With NBA Live 15's cover player still yet to be announced, we throw out a couple of suggestions.
  • Speaking of this year's games, we also talk about some of the predictions that JaoSming made in his most recent Dumb Mondays feature.
  • A second Steam key for NBA 2K14 PC is up for grabs. Get your entries in before next week's show!
  • In a quick modding round-up, JaoSming has some news on RED MC, and bigh0rt gets some more love for the NBA JAM 2K14 mod.

  • Vlad has provided a quick update on the next big release for RED MC. JaoSming should have more details for us when he's back on the show.
  • NBA Jam on Android received another update. Unfortunately, the rosters weren't touched this time around.
  • Servers are being shut down for a bunch of EA games. We discuss server shutdowns and what it could mean for games like NBA Live 14 and NBA 2K14, which rely heavily on online components.

  • 11 new Euroleague Teams will be added in NBA 2K15. Do we think they'll get their own mode, and/or integration with the current game modes?
  • In some housekeeping notes, we remind everyone that we're looking for knowledgeable basketball gamers to help us expand our Wiki resources.
  • JaoSming's NBA Street mod for NBA 2K14 PC has been released, and we encourage you to check it out!
  • It's down to the final four as the 2014 NBA Playoffs have reached the Conference Finals. We talk about the first couple of games, and give our predictions for the rest of the series.
