The announcement of the cover player for NBA Live 13 can’t be too far away, along with more information on this year’s game, so we’ve got a new poll question for everyone: Who do you think will be on the cover of NBA Live 13? Our last poll asked How do you rate the 2011/2012 NBA season? Despite the delayed start and uneven play caused by last year’s lockout, it seems most people still enjoyed the 2012 season with 37% calling it excellent, while a further 31% opined that it was good. 19% felt it was just alright, while only 7% deemed it not great and 6% didn’t enjoy it at all, declaring it terrible. I’m still going with LeBron, myself.
Also, for anyone who’s wondering why Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin aren’t in the poll, they have obviously already been confirmed for the NBA 2K13 cover, so they can be ruled out at this point.
i think rajon rondo might get the cover, don’t really see Lebron wanting to work with EA.
How so? Their endorsement dollars are as good as anyone else’s.
If personal preference plays a role then I’d be inclined to rule out Rondo, who has been featured heavily in commercials for 2K in recent years.

but what about Dwight Howard (again)… That would explain why they didn’t show the cover yet.
I don’t think that’s the reason for the delay. Nevertheless, I suppose it could be Howard, but they’ve yet to repeat a cover player. There’s also lingering uncertainty as to whether or not he’ll be traded and I doubt they’d want to risk their cover player wearing a completely different uniform by the time all the covers have been printed and the game is ready to ship.
It’s gotta be LBJ. He’s been the center of headlines(good and bad) for the past 2 years, yet, he hasn’t been on the cover of any 2k or Live games. My guess is, he has a steep asking price, but, if your NBA Live, you’ve got to shell out the dough for a big cover guy if you really want to make a splash this year.
That’s supposedly been the reason he’s not appeared on any covers but I agree, he’s a worthwhile investment to sell copies.
