Poll: How long do you play basketball video games?

We’re way, way overdue for a new poll here on the main page, so I’ve just added one which asks “How long do you play basketball video games?” When you get a basketball video game, do you play it all season long, or do you burn out on it sooner? Cast your vote now, and if you have any additional thoughts you’d like to share about your habits when it comes to playing basketball video games, feel free to post them in the comments section below!

Our previous poll asked “How often do you win championships in basketball video games?” It seems most people are winning virtual championships fairly often, as 34% indicated they win every season they play, while a further 29% are winning in most of the seasons that they finish. 14% of voters win championships after a few seasons of rebuilding, 9% rarely win championships, and a final 14% said that they never finish seasons in basketball video games.

Well I think as people can see from the Dynasty section of the forum that rarely finish a season making me one of the 14%.

Although my games go on a bit longer than I post them I probably only finish 1 out of 5 mainly due to other commitments like work/family and friends but that won’t stop me from starting new ones each year.

I usually play the shit out of 2k all season long but I’ve rarely played 2k15. Maybe five times all season long. I have NOT been impressed with the new generation. I like playing with the retro Bulls teams. Their jerseys look like shit and Michael Jordan looks like shit on PS4. 2k15 was a waste of money because I’ve mostly been playing 2k14 all season. If improvement aren’t made to the retro teams then I won’t be buying 2k16. There’s something wrong when 2k11 for PS3 looks better than 2k15 for PS4, that’s certainly the case with the 90’s Bulls teams.

I voted for “more than one year”, but to be honest that applies to any Basketball videogame I played so far with the exception of NBA 2K15. I liked it, but its lack of Users’ Mods (due to many reasons but surely NOT the lazyness of the usual great Modders), just put me a bit off and so kept playing 2K14 UBR and 2K13 URB, with just a couple of hours of NBA 2K12 (Modded).
