EA has announced a new initiative through their partnership with Microsoft, called EA Access. For $4.99 per month (billed annually or monthly), membership will provide gamers with a 10% discount on EA titles, the ability to play older games from The Vault at no additional charge, and access to trials of new titles up to five days before their release date. NBA Live 15 will be one of the first games available to Xbox One users for an early access trial, along with Madden 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
According to the press release, the 10% discount afforded to EA Access members will also apply to additional membership services, including premium content and the purchase of Ultimate Team points. Gamers who elect to purchase a game after the trial period ends will also be able to pick up where they left off, as their progress in the trial version will be retained.
As far as NBA Live 15 is concerned, this new initiative probably means that we’ll be getting some in-depth impressions in the community at least a few days before October 7th. In the meantime, with August almost upon us, we should be getting some more details on NBA Live 15 very soon. We’ll have it all covered right here on the NLSC, so stay tuned for more info and previews.
