NBA Live 15 Tips & Tricks Section (Official Website)

For those who may have missed it, the Tips & Tricks section over on the official NBA Live website has been updated for NBA Live 15. It now contains a rundown of the controls for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as tutorial videos that explain the basics, dribbling moves, passing, post play, and more.

The section also includes a video demonstrating the adidas Learn LIVE tutorials, featuring cover player Damian Lillard. adidas Learn LIVE represents the development team’s aim to provide better onboarding in NBA Live 15, as Lillard walks the user through all the controls in a 1-on-1 lesson.

NBA Live 15 is set to hit store shelves tomorrow. As always, we invite you to discuss the game here in the NLSC Forum!

The Friday Five: My To Do List for NBA Live 15

The Friday Five

Welcome to this week’s edition of The Friday Five! This is a feature that I post every Friday in which I give my thoughts on a topic that’s related to basketball video games, the real NBA or another area of interest to our community, either as a list of five items or in the form of a Top 5 countdown.

Putting aside the EA Access trial on Xbox One, NBA Live 15 is finally out next week: October 28th in North America, and October 30th here in Australia. Just as I compiled a To Do list for NBA 2K15 shortly before it was released, I also have a few things in mind to do as soon as I get my hands on this year’s instalment of NBA Live. So – just in case you were still wondering where I’m going with this – that’s what I’m talking about in this week’s Friday Five.

I expect that there’ll be some overlap with my list for NBA 2K15, as the key points of interest are fairly similar, and I have something of a routine that I follow when I’m playing a new basketball game for the first time. So, without any further ado, here is my To Do List for NBA Live 15!

Second Patch Released for NBA 2K15 PC

As you may have noticed, a second patch has been pushed through for the PC version of NBA 2K15. It should start downloading automatically, but if all else fails, restart your Steam client. Leftos has posted some details on the patch here in the Forum, confirming that this is a PC-only update that is intended to address some issues that are specific to the PC version, such as crashes, stuttering, and glitched hair textures.

Another large patch will be coming through at some point, which will also be available for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of NBA 2K15. There’s no ETA on that update at this time, but we’ll keep you informed as soon as Leftos can pass along some more information. A huge thanks to Leftos once again for all his help in troubleshooting problems, and helping get PC users these fixes!

Since it’s come up a few times in the past week or so, I’d also like to remind everyone that we have a strict rule against piracy in the NLSC Forum. Any requests for cracked copies of NBA 2K15, or patches for a “non-Steam” version of the game will result in a permanent ban without warning. If you need to familiarise yourself with our Forum Rules, you can find them posted here. Please contact us if you have any additional questions about our rules and policies.

Full Details on Ultimate Team in NBA Live 15

Last week, EA Sports revealed details on all of the game modes in NBA Live 15…all except Ultimate Team. Details on Ultimate Team are now available however, courtesy of the latest developer blog over on the official website.

The blog talks about the new Auctions feature, which allows you to search out a card that you need to complete your collection, as well as sell unwanted cards for in-game currency. Collections have also been expanded to a maximum of 400 cards, Fantasy Challenges return from last season (and will be updated throughout the year), new Legends will be available, and the starter packs will include better players.

There will also be a promotion running for the first week that the game is out. If you log in to Ultimate Team between October 28th and November 6th, you’ll be rewarded with $30 worth of Ultimate Team content (ie 10 Gold Premium Packs). The promotion will be available to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users.

Will you be giving Ultimate Team a look this year? If so, what do you make of the improvements and additions? Sound off in the comments below, and join in the discussion in the NBA Live 15 section of the NLSC Forum.

Three New NBA Live 15 Screenshots

EA Sports has sent us three new screenshots of NBA Live 15, featuring a few players that we requested: LeBron James, Jabari Parker, and Derrick Rose. You can check them all out below, as well as over in our NBA Live 15 Screenshots gallery.

Of course, at this point in time, it’s all about gameplay footage. With Xbox One users getting an early look at the game via EA Access subscriptions, quite a few videos and livestreams are making the rounds. You can check out a collection of NBA Live 15 gameplay videos here in the Forum; thanks to chicagoRAW for compiling them!

And, once again, we invite you to tune in to Episode #99 of the NLSC Podcast to hear our chat with NBA Live 15 Executive Producer Sean O’Brien! If you missed our first interview with Sean in Episode #90, be sure to listen to it here.
