With NBA 2K15 being a large download – the game will require 50 GB of hard drive space, for those who are unaware – this is certainly a welcome development. Thanks to TBM for the heads up in the Forum!

Offensive Improvements in NBA Live 15 (Video & Blog)

EA Sports has revealed new information on gameplay in NBA Live 15 by way of a developer blog and video, both of which focus on offensive improvements in this year’s game. The blog mentions improvements to AI with regards to fast breaks, pick and rolls, and playcalling, as well as the addition of on-screen feedback informing the user whether their teammate is going to slip, roll, or pop. Additionally, playcalling controls have been simplified in NBA Live 15, and the blog explains the new Shot Feedback and Shot Quality system.

The video shows off the gameplay improvements in action, including crisper passing animations, smoother dribbling controls, and the Shot Feedback indicators at work. It also features comparisons to similar scenarios in NBA Live 15, with the difference certainly being noticeable.

Evolution of Freelance Offense in NBA 2K15 (Part 2)

NBA 2K15 developer Da_Czar is back with part two of his breakdown of the evolution of freelance offense in this year’s game. The video spotlights the Pace and Space freelance offense, once again making comparisons to NBA 2K14 to demonstrate the improvements that have been made in player movement and AI.

As in the first video, it’s apparent that NBA 2K15 has made huge strides in this area, as you’ll see your CPU teammates reacting to passes and pauses, settings screens, and on the whole, spending much less time standing around. Da_Czar’s demonstration includes footage from practice mode, as well as a game between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.

Watch the demonstration below, or check it out here on YouTube if you can’t see the embedded video. Have your say in the comments below, as well as in this thread in the NBA 2K15 section of the Forum.
