It allows you to assign any cyberface to your player in My Player, be it a current player, historical player or your own custom face, in three easy steps. The game will also generate a portrait from the assigned face file, following one additional step.

NBA Jam: On Fire Edition
Planet Xbox 360’s Robert Workman has posted his Top 20 Xbox Live Arcade games for 2011, with NBA Jam: On Fire Edition coming in at sixth. Of the game, he said:
I will be honest, I loved NBA Jam when it came out last year. But On Fire Edition addresses many of the criticisms of that game, with a lower price point, improved gameplay mechanics, more features and online play. Plus, Honey Badgers and Isaac from Dead Space make appearances. Gotta love that.
Check out the complete Top 20 here. You can pick up NBA Jam: On Fire Edition for 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or for $15 on the PlayStation Network.

NBA 2K12
The sixth official roster update for NBA 2K12 is now available and should be downloaded automatically so long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet. The new update contains the latest cuts, trades, and free agent and rookie signings through December 19th, with the exception of a couple of players who are returning after more than a year away from the league. According to Ronnie 2K, those players will be added in time along with new art files.
Remember to use the Reset Roster function in the Options menu to load the new rosters; as I’ve mentioned before, I’ve had to reset the rosters twice to get the new ones to show up and I highly recommend saving the rosters after they’ve loaded. See below for an updated list of transactions included in the latest roster and if you’re playing on PC, make sure you also downloaded JaoSming’s Rookie Arm Fix to correct problems with the rookies’ arm textures. NBA Jam: On Fire Edition
Another holiday themed team is now available in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. With Christmas only a week away, you can get into the festive spirit by hooping it up with Santa’s Slammers, who are now automatically unlocked in the JAM Store. You can check out a screenshot of Santa throwing it down here in our gallery and pick up NBA Jam: On Fire Edition for 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or $15 on the PlayStation Network. Be sure to check out my review as well as our Producer Q&A if you haven’t already.
With the 2012 NBA season right around the corner, we should also be seeing some roster updates for NBA Jam: On Fire Edition in the near future. EA Sports hasn’t posted any info on when the updates will be coming but everything is in place so I’d expect the new rosters to be available at some point after the season tips off.

Da Czar is back with a new Play of the Day video for NBA 2K12. This time Czar takes a look at a play for the New York Knicks, the NYC Base Quick 5 Offscreen. Czar has also posted his thoughts on patch v1.04, which was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of NBA 2K12 earlier this week. Don’t forget that you can share your impressions of the patch here in the NLSC Forum.
You can watch both videos below or here on Czar’s YouTube channel. While you’re on his YouTube channel, be sure to check out the Strategy Sessions videos for some excellent tips on mastering NBA 2K12’s offensive, defensive and playcalling controls. NBA 2K12
2K Sports has made it five roster updates for NBA 2K12 in five days, with a new update available to download right now. The latest update should include all transactions to date including the Bulls’ signing of Richard Hamilton, as well as all first round draft picks that have signed their NBA contracts.
See below for a full list of the transactions and rookie additions included in the latest update. Once again, the update should be downloaded automatically so long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation is connected to the Internet, however you will need to use the Reset Roster function under the Options menu to load the new rosters. As I mentioned yesterday, I’ve had to reset the rosters twice to load the update and I highly recommend saving the rosters after they’ve been loaded.

NBA 2K12
Ronnie 2K has posted a couple of Tweets here and here answering questions about the 66 game schedule being patched into NBA 2K12. Ronnie has confirmed that NBA Today will reflect the lockout shortened 66 game schedule, while mentioning that it is impossible to implement for My Player, Association and Online Association. NBA Today games are currently following the original 2011/2012 season schedule.
For what it’s worth, EA Sports patched the abbreviated 50 game schedule for the lockout shortened 1998/1999 season into NBA Live 99’s Season Mode, which led to speculation that 2K Sports might be able to do the same with NBA 2K12. It is understandable that they cannot, however; beyond any technical limitations there’s also the tricky situation with multiseason play in Association and My Player, which would need to revert to 82 games from year two onwards. Selecting the 50 game schedule in NBA Live 99’s basic multiseason mode – the precursor of Franchise and Dynasty Mode – locked the user to playing 50 games for each of the ten years. Such a situation would likely be unappealing to most NBA 2K12 players, ultimately detracting from the realism in the long run.

NBA 2K12
The official roster updates for NBA 2K12 continue to come daily in the lead up to the 2011/2012 season, which is set to tip off just a little over a week away on Christmas Day. The latest update includes the blockbuster trade that sent Chris Paul to the Clippers and a few more rookies, though Richard Hamilton is still a free agent rather than being on the Bulls’ roster. Gilbert Arenas is back in the free agent pool after appearing on the Magic’s roster in the last update.
Please see below for an updated list of transactions and included rookies through the latest update. Remember that you may have to use the Reset Roster function under the Options menu to access the updated rosters. In my experience, I’ve usually had to reset the rosters twice to get the new rosters to show up. I would also recommend saving the new rosters once they’ve loaded.

NBA 2K12
The Xbox 360 version of NBA 2K12 has now received the official patch (v1.04), which corrects various issues with gameplay, online modes, My Player and Association. You will be prompted to download the update automatically as long as your Xbox 360 is connected to the Internet, so as with the official roster updates there’s no need to go looking for it. The PlayStation 3 version of NBA 2K12 received the patch yesterday and the iOS version has also been updated, however there is unfortunately still no ETA on the PC patch.
You can check out a laundry list of fixes included in the official patch here and share your impressions of the patch here in the NLSC Forum.

NBA 2K12
The third official roster update for NBA 2K12 has now been released. It includes the latest transactions such as Vince Carter signing with the Mavericks and the Mavericks’ trade of Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer to the Nuggets, while also adding more rookies including Enes Kanter, Jan Vesely and the Morris twins for a total of 20 rookies added to the roster so far.
See below for an updated list of the transactions that have been included as of the third roster update. Remember that the rosters are downloaded automatically as long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet, so you don’t need to go looking for them. However, you may have to use the Reset Rosters function under the Options menu to initially load them and saving the rosters afterwards is recommended. If you’re playing the PC version, be sure to grab this fix to resolve the issue with incorrect arm textures for the rookies.
