The NLL is gearing up for a new season of play and currently have vacancies that they’re looking to fill. Originally founded in 2001 as an NBA Live league, the NLL is now using NBA 2K and runs one season per year, following along with the real NBA season. It strives for realism and aims to have the deepest GM experience possible with plenty of interactive features including trades, drafting rookies and a realistic salary cap. Player ratings are also updated on a monthly basis based on real life performance.

The Dynasty & Association Story of the Year winner for 2011 has been announced! Congratulations to badreligionau who took home this year’s virtual trophy with his Dynasty, The Next Level. The Next Level is an NBA Live 10 Dynasty featuring the Denver Nuggets and is currently in its thirteenth season, making it one of the longest running Dynasty games profiled in the stories section. Congratulations also go out to Thierry., Sit, Axel., The X and Martti., who rounded out the top six.

Thanks to everyone who voted and well done again to the top six, as well as everyone else who was nominated. A special thanks also goes out to Martti. for coordinating the contest again this year. Be sure to check out all the Dynasty and Association story threads here in the NLSC Forum and don’t forget that if you’d like to start your own story thread, you can find some great tips and guidelines in this thread.

A little more than a month after the launch of NBA 2K12, the new community site has been launched. It allows users to add friends, compare stats and view videos and screenshots uploaded by other members. You can also manage your account, add Facebook/Twitter/YouTube accounts and even delete any duplicate accounts if needed.

After you check out the community site at www.NBA2K.com, head over to the Forum to add members from the NLSC community to your friends list and share findings in this thread.

Our friends from ModdingWay have unfortunately suffered a serious server crash, from which they have been unable to recover. As such, they have asked if we can upload copies of their tools for NBA 2K12 to our server (previously the entries in our database linked to the respective download pages on ModdingWay), so that the patching community may still have access to them. Voting is now underway to determine the Dynasty & Association Story of the Year for 2011. The contest is an initiative to spotlight some of the best Dynasty and Association story threads posted in the Dynasty & Association Stories section of the NLSC Forum over the past year.

Martti. is once again running the contest, so all votes should be sent in to him via PM. Please note that voting will end November 1st, you cannot vote for your own thread and the thread must have been updated within the past six months. After the top five are decided, a final vote will be cast to select the Story of the Year.

You may be familiar with Da_Czar’s Ten Teams in Ten Days and Battleground series while he was at Operation Sports.  Well as he states in his new blog, he stepped down at the beginning of the summer and today started a new blog called “Sim Citi”.  Check it out!
