The modding community for NBA 2K13 has been very busy over the past couple of days, leaving us with a heap of file additions for the game to bring to you today. We have 21 new files for you today including player faces, arm texture fixes, jersey updates, new dornas, updated courts, new textures for generic players and a couple of rosters. A new official roster update for NBA 2K13 is now available, containing lineups that have been updated through November 10th, 2012. A new court for the Portland Trailblazers has also been pushed through, updating the Rose Garden for the 2012/2013 season. As always, the updates will come through automatically as long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet. PC users may alternatively get the latest roster and online data files through our manual update pack, which is available here.

While a few more players have been added in the latest roster, others are unfortunately still missing, meaning that the official rosters aren’t quite complete as yet. Remember that all feedback on the official roster updates should be directed to the NBA 2K Insider on Twitter @NBA2KInsider.

The NBA 2K Insider has posted a Tweet indicating that the next official roster update for NBA 2K13 will be pushed through on Saturday morning. It will come through automatically as your long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet and as usual, we’ll be providing an offline update pack for PC users who wish to manually update their game.

Hopefully the new rosters will add some (if not all) of the players that were still missing as of the last update, as Ronnie 2K acknowledged a list of missing players compiled by the folks over at Operation Sports and mentioned passing it through to the Insider. Our last poll asked “How do you rate NBA 2K13 so far?” and the results indicated a mostly positive reaction to this year’s game, with 39% deeming it excellent and a further 33% calling it good. 16% weren’t too impressed, opining that NBA 2K13 is just alright, 7% were even less enthused as they voted for “not great” and a final 5% indicated that they were completely disappointed in this year’s offering, giving their vote to “Terrible!”. We’ve just got three new file additions for NBA 2K13 for you today but as always with our modding community, they’re definitely worth checking out! One of the most confusing and difficult projects in modding the PC versions of NBA 2K has been modifying court colors and reflections. My advice has always been the same, just find a court with the lanes, out of bounds, and lines colored close enough to what you need, and just swap textures to get it to look like you want. There have been tutorials on how to do it with hex editing, but those confused more people than they helped, leaving only an elite handful of court patchers in the community.

Well, thanks to the recent update to the Hex on Steroids tool from Leftos, that is no longer the case. We don’t need to look at the block of hex data to locate and change colors and reflection values. I wrote up a detailed tutorial on how to use the tool to do both colors and reflections. Here come the latest file additions for NBA 2K13! First of all, we’ve got updates to three of Leftos’ excellent utilities for the game: the Roster Editor, Hex on Steroids and Keep My Mod. Another official roster update for NBA 2K13 has been pushed through, containing some minor updates through November 1st including the addition of Eddy Curry to the Dallas Mavericks’ roster. As always, the latest update will come through automatically as long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet, though PC users may also use this manual update pack.

The latest update also includes the LeBron Xs, which have been assigned to LeBron James by default and can also be accessed through NIKEiD. Feedback on the official rosters should be directed to the NBA 2K Insider on Twitter.

NBA 2K13 has been out for a month, but the developers are still releasing video insights to promote and explain various features of the game. The latest Developer Insight provides a rundown of the NBA 2K Everywhere experience, incorporating mobile devices and the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of NBA 2K13. It talks about how the MyNBA2K companion app can be used to boost your MyPLAYER’s attributes and earn VC on-the-go, while previewing some of the mini-games. It also touches on the Facebook game, NBA 2K MyLIFE, and the ability to unlock special bonuses.

We’ve got some more great file additions for NBA 2K13 coming your way today. A new official roster update for NBA 2K13 has gone live, containing lineups updated through October 31st. The new rosters, along with the latest official court and jersey updates if you haven’t got them yet, will come through automatically as long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet. PC users who wish to update their game manually may also opt to download this pack instead.

The rosters are still not quite complete, as a few missing players have not yet been added to the game.
