2K Sports have pushed through a few more official court updates for NBA 2K13. The latest round of updates adds the Cleveland Cavaliers’ new court design, along with some minor updates to the courts of the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies. The updates will come through automatically as long your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet.

A new official roster update has also gone live, however it contains a few issues and according to Ronnie, the wrong roster update was pushed through. As a result, we can expect a new, fixed roster update to be released tomorrow. Once the fixed roster comes through, I’ll be updating our offline/manual update pack as soon as possible with the new roster and all the updated court files.

The wait is over for gamers wanting to pick up the digital download version of NBA 2K13 PC, as the game is now available on Steam and other digital distributors! Please note that the features list on Steam currently includes MyTEAM, which is only available in the console versions of the game; for the official features list for the PC version, see this page in our Wiki. To celebrate the start of the 2012/2013 season, 2K Sports are also offering a discount on the iOS version of NBA 2K13, which for the next week is available here in the iTunes store for $4.99. The surprise for MyCAREER that Ronnie hinted at has been revealed. To celebrate the opening night of the 2012/2013 NBA season, NBA 2K13 will feature a worldwide 50% discount on the in-game Virtual Currency prices of all clothing items for the MyPLAYER closet. Needless to say, this is only available to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users, as the PC version does not feature Virtual Currency or the MyPLAYER closet. The sale begins October 30th at midnight PST, and runs through midnight PST on October 31st.

Additionally, the NBA 2K Insider has mentioned that a new official roster update will be going live early tomorrow morning. PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users will be able to download the update automatically, and we’ll also be providing a manual update pack for the PC version as soon as we possibly can.

At long last, we have some good news for everyone who is waiting for the digital download version of NBA 2K13 PC. Ronnie 2K has Tweeted that the game will be available on Steam and other digital distribution sites tomorrow, meaning there will be no further delays for the digital release. No reason has been given for the delay, which originally saw the digital release pushed back to October 16th and then ultimately October 30th.

Ronnie has also mentioned that a little surprise will be coming in the MyCAREER Store tomorrow, to celebrate opening night of the 2012/2013 NBA season. As per LD2k’s Tweet, the surprise is going to cost you some Virtual Currency, which means it’s for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users only. What do you think the surprise might be? 2K Sports have released a brief trailer promoting the mobile version of NBA 2K13, available now for Android and iOS devices. The trailer highlights features such as the ability to play multiplayer games via Bluetooth and Apple Game Center, along with the Greatest Games mode which allows users to recreate some of the most memorable games in NBA history for an assortment of legendary players.

2K Sports have pushed through three more court updates for NBA 2K13, with the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers and Charlotte Bobcats receiving their new court designs for the 2012/2013 season. The updates should come through automatically as long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet, however PC users may also opt to download a manual update pack. Please note that only one roster update has been released so far; the roster included in the pack is the same one that came out on October 10th.

Once again, the official updates will interfere with any community-made art patches you have installed, so check out Leftos’ Keep My Mod tool for NBA 2K13 if you’d like to override the official court and jersey updates that have come through so far.

I narrowed down these 12 screenshots from over 40 this week. Honestly, I don’t even know if we are all playing the same game, or if we have people posting renders in the Forum. The graphics updates that we’ve seen in the first month of NBA 2K13 have been outstanding, and well worth checking out in the images below. It’s scary to think that we are only going to get better and better as the year goes on.

Official court updates for the Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Phoenix Suns have been pushed through in NBA 2K13 and will be downloaded automatically as long as your PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is connected to the Internet. You should receive a notification about the new updates after leaving the title screen. If you’re playing on PC, you can also download a manual update pack here. A couple more court updates should be coming through around the start of the 2012/2013 regular season.

These official updates do present some problems for our unofficial community-made mods for the PC version, however Leftos has just released an NBA 2K13 compatible version of Keep My Mod. If you’d like to override 2K’s official art updates and keep the community mods that you’ve downloaded, be sure to pick it up here in our Downloads section.

After a few late nights, I’ve gotten some of the College Hoops 2K12 mod converted over to NBA 2K13 without overwriting any original files! Currently at version 0.1, the mod contains accurate home and away uniforms for all 30 teams, accurate floors for 14 teams, and a generic roster. While it isn’t much to look at right now, this is the earliest playable release for the NCAA mod of any year. Once the REDitor comes out, NLSC Contributor BehindShadows will be taking over and turning the NCAA 2K13 mod into the much more accurate College Hoops 2K13 mod!
