EA Sports unveiled the first official trailer for NBA Live 14 during their press conference at E3 2013. It once again heavily features Kyrie Irving, this time taking on Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers. I can confirm that while the trailer does use in-game assets, it is once again CGI and not actual gameplay footage.
Having said that, developer Scott O’Gallagher has Tweeted that Irving’s stationary dribble is a real in-game asset. Irving himself also mentioned the game as being a “unique opportunity” with the official NBA Live Twitter account welcoming him to the family, further suggesting that he’ll be on the cover of the game.
Check out the trailer below or watch it here on YouTube if you can’t see the embedded video. Add your thoughts in the comments below or in this thread in the NLSC Forum.
As much as I love Cleveland’s #2 and his game, pitting Live against 2K is like having LeBron and Kyrie in a one-on-one game. In Miami. The former’s home court. With Miami fans surrounding them. 🙁
