Hey, I'm not sure if I'm the one doing something wrong or it's just the game, but I find it nearly impossible to perform standing dunks, the only way I'm able to perform them is if I'm dribbling in place without moving, but if I pick up the ball I just perform a soft layup, when most players that do standing dunks are big men that can't really dribble, having them stand still dribbling in the post is an easy way to get a turnover, what's worse, if there's even 1 deffender in general airspace, the players just perform weak layups.
To illustrate my point, here's a blacktop mode of prime Shaq (2000 MVP Shaq to be exact) versus old and washed up Muggsy Bogues, here's what happens when I post him up:

in the pictures Shaq jumps high enough to touch the upper part of the square on the backboard, yet he settles for a layup instead of dunking it hard? Bogues isn't even in position to do anything, since Shaq pushed him out of the way to the left.
I hope I'm not the only one that sees something wrong with this, Shaq in his prime would regularly posterize centers taller than him, yet in 2K he can't dunk on Bogues? This is what Shaq *SHOULD* be doing when we post somebody up : https://media.giphy.com/media/l41YlBxWy ... /giphy.gif
I hope I'm missing something here, because it's kinda hard to believe that 2K didn't allow us to posterize players that they post up, or worse, didn't allow players to dunk the ball unless they're dribbling, even though they're close to the rim and even jump higher than the rim just to lay it in
EDIT: This is the only case of me being able to perform a posterizing dunk coming from the post, although I believe it's just a normal posterizer, as I was running from the post, and later when I tried to redo the same thing, I would only get weak layups again :
