Barkley staged an impressive duel with the Hawks' Dominique Wilkins, scoring season high 47 points in a 110-112 to Dominique's 49.

In Barkley's first season with the Suns, the team had the NBA's best record and he became only the third player to win league MVP honors in the season after being traded.
Barkley was brilliant, averaging 26.6 points and 13.6 rebounds in 42.8 minutes per game in the postseason, including a mesmerizing 44 points and 24 rebounds in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against the Seattle SuperSonics.

Conditions: Game starts at 4:55 OT.

Win the game
Suns beat the Bulls 129-121 in a memorable triple-overtime Game 3 of NBA Finals on Sunday at Chicago Stadium.
Barkley was obviously affected by the severely bruised right elbow he suffered when he hit the floor hard in Game 2. That's probably why he had only 24 points and 19 rebounds.

In Game 3 of the Warriors vs. Suns first-round matchup, Barkley shredded Golden State with 56 points. His offensive efficiency (23-of-31 from the field) was a sight to behold. He rounded out his stat line with 14 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block in 41 minutes of work.

Suns traded Barkley to Houston in the 1996 offseason. Barkley was the Rockets' second-leading scorer that first season behind Olajuwon, with a 19.2 ppg and a resurgent 13.5 rpg, the second best of his career. Injuries limited him to just 53 games, but the team had a 57-25 record and made it to the Western Conference Finals before falling to the Utah Jazz in six games.
