Boston's run after their so-so start is one for the ages. Meanwhile, Milwaukee shooting 4/33 from downtown demonstrates how the analytics-driven "threes are worth more than twos" philosophy kind of falls apart when you can't make them, at which point they're worth nothing.

In my nearly five decades of following the NBA, I can not recall a home team having a putrid performance like this in a Game 7. It was so bad I switched to the Rangers/Penguins game and I'm not even a hockey guy. I just wanted to watch a real Game 7 lol.

I was listening to Undisputed earlier today, and they were talking about the tension between Coach Williams & Ayton. This is what Li'l Wayne told Skip;
“From what our man Lil Wayne told me, he was sitting across [from the Suns bench], Monty got so upset with Ayton that he said, ‘You freaking quit on us.’ That led to an exchange where each Monty and Ayton had to be restrained from going at each other.”

I was wondering what Monty's 'internal' comment meant.

It sounds like Ayton felt disrespected by the lack of a big extension last year. That's understandable, and when he's at his best, he definitely looks like a player that the Suns should invest in. At other times though, I understand their reluctance. Nevertheless, the situation has clearly been mishandled, and there's ill-feeling there. Phoenix can obviously match any offer for him, but the latest from Woj suggests that a parting of the ways is almost inevitable. The relationship certainly doesn't sound cordial, even if Monty Williams is keeping it behind closed doors.

There will be a Game 7 in the East Finals, Sunday night....can't wait!

Unfortunately, Miami & Boston have beaten each other up so much, that whoever wins will be easy pickings for Golden State.

Should the Celtics prevail, it'll be somewhat appropriate that two of the original BAA/NBA teams will face off in the Finals of the 75th Anniversary season. As you said though, the Warriors would appear to be heavily favoured either way.

Fans are split on Jimmy B's decision....I thought he should have attacked the basket.

I guess it's easy for us to say afterwards and watching rather than participating, but I'm inclined to agree. He can obviously shoot threes, but I wouldn't call it his forte. With that much time left, driving and possibly drawing the foul seems like the move to make in hindsight.

Boston blew this series by allowing GS to regain home court....big difference between 3-1 and 2-2. Plus the Warriors are battle-tested - can't see them losing a critical Game 5 at home.

Boston still has a chance to force a Game 7 with Game 6 being at home, but yeah, it looks like they've missed their chance. I mean, a Curry-led team did let a 3-1 lead slip through their fingers, but these Celtics aren't those Cavs.

Tatum has been underwhelming....what's with these dumb turnovers?

Tatum had a poor Finals, but if he wants to be great, he'll use this as a learning experience, work on his game and come back stronger next season. Credit to Wiggins on his stellar defense.

Sad news about Caleb Swanigan...natural causes at age 25??? R.I.P.

Way too young. RIP Caleb Swanigan.

Some of the all-time greats have had subpar Finals series over the years. It's an opportunity for Tatum to bounce back and take his game to the next level for sure.
