Another season, and these jersey selections continue to be a nightmare for colorblind folks such as myself... Cavs black @ Raptors red... I mean, I can tell the difference, but it's very visually unappealing and borders on a headache for me. I thought more people would kinda be bothered by it, but as I continue to research, it really just seems to be a problem for colorblind people mostly.

We went what? Practically 70 years of NBA basketball where the jerseys of each team in any given matchup were clearly contrasting one another, and now we just throw 2 road uni's against each other for no reason.

It bugs me too, but mostly because I'm big on traditions and not fixing what isn't broken. You bring up a much better reason why the contrasting uniforms were important in a spectator sport!

I think Adidas's sleeved jerseys are one of the what if cases of NBA. If they were never brought maybe Adidas could secure another deal and we wouldn't see these scenes.

Certainly a case of being careful what you wish for. Nike getting the contract and putting an end to the sleeved alternates was great, but I'm not a fan of the other changes. Of course, there's a chance the NBA would've still gone in that direction in partnership with adidas anyway, so we probably shouldn't lay all the blame at Nike's feet.

I don't understand Rob Pelinka's plan....everyone knows Lebron's at his best when he's surrounded by shooters. But, as the article states, he built the roster as if the 3-point line doesn't exist.

With Westbrook being practically untradeable, I think they've resigned themselves to LeBron chasing statistical records rather than going all in on being competitive.

We might have to start paying attention to the Pelicans. No Zion, no Ingram, no Jones and they beat the Mavs with eight players in double figures???? Interesting.

Looks like David Griffin and Willie Green are building something special in N.O. I like that little Alvarado cat.

Zion and Kawhi not being completely healthy after missing an entire season isn't a great sign for their recovery. Same for Lonzo Ball needing another knee surgery. Hopefully all are healthy in the long run.

And after tonight's loss to Indiana, Brooklyn's 1-5. No effort on defense at ALL.

Steve Nash OUT! They're expected to hire Ime Udoka. Joe Tsai better keep an eye on his wife, lol.

Interesting move from a PR standpoint, firing a coach for underperforming but hiring a coach that a team has suspended and is willing to let go due to an improper workplace relationship.

Amazing what the Jazz are doing after losing their two star players. Don't know how long it'll last, but still an early season surprise. Ainge must be punching the air right now.

Looks like Markkanen has finally come into his own;

I thnk this is one of the few season where people are not looking for who will be the champion, but who will get the first draft pick. Zion, AD were phenomenal players and stood out from other athletes, but this Wembanyama is so much different.

We're still waiting for a few of the contenders to emerge as well, especially with the defending champs getting off to a slow start. The Jazz are definitely an early season surprise.

As much as I'd have liked to see Markkanen pan out in Chicago, sometimes that's the way it goes. A change of scene and finding the right fit allows a player to flourish in a way they never would have on their previous team, so the parting was for the best.

Looks like there's a new rivalry in the NBA, Suns & Pelicans. They beat Phoenix tonight, and things got nasty after the game with both benches emptying....nice. Sunday's rematch should be fun.

All that young talent in New Orleans is finally meshing, and Willie Green is getting the most out of them. Barring injuries, they're definitely a top 4 seed. So frustrating watching this as a Knicks fan, because we just missed out on Zion (and Ja). Memphis and New Orleans are solid, talented teams while the Knicks are still stuck in mediocrity.

While Zion did break that long-standing unwritten rule, CP3 wasn't exactly running out the clock either, so the Suns don't really have a leg to stand on there. Makes you wonder whether that's an aspect of NBA culture and sportsmanship that needs to be re-evaluated.

Normally I would be against Zion doing something like this but like he said the Suns sent them home last season and this at the end of the day is how rivalries are made, gotta have that legit beef to take with you into a series just makes it feel like 90's nba to me

That's a fair point, too.

Clutch time hasn't been kind to the Bulls this season. Knicks win another win, but man, letting Randle iso for the gamewinner attempt at the end of regulation was ugly. MJ and Kobe he is not, to state the obvious.
