2019-2020 Season Daily Discussion

Haven't seen a thread yet so I made one.

FVV was great tonight - good thing I drafted him lmao. 34 points and he was going to the paint a lot.

Lakers disappointed me today. What's new.

Lakers have to stop playing that slow offense where they try to burn seconds off the clock. They have two athletic guys that can hit like a truck in transition. Run Lakers, run.

those offensive rebounds specially late in the 4th by the Clips basically sealed the game for us. Davis and Green were the only ones in the zone today even though Davis slowed down while Danny got hot in the 2nd half. Team looks so sloppy in general.

LeBron seemed too overly concerned about being a facilitator and getting Davis involved. Led to a lot of turnovers when he'd leave his feet to pass. Offense was very predictable. Not too worried as we were missing Kuzma, Caruso, and Rondo so I would imagine like the Heat team they'll figure it out later in the season. Cook was a bit of a disappointment. If anyone loses time when those guys come back it should be him and Dudley.

Great opening nite. NOH played really well using the hoiberg pace and space offense. TOR looked a little stagnant but hero ball came through

Interesting to see who was guarding Lenard. Dude was eating. Even w George out, they are a tough matchup

A key stat from my write up: Danny Green was on the court w/ Kawhi for 21 minutes. Kawhi shot 4-12 in those minutes & the Clippers were -6. In the 10 minutes Kawhi played when Green was on the bench, he went 7-8 from the floor & the Clippers were +11.

Kawhi’s amazing though. So in control seemingly all the time. A treat watching him play.

Ah shit I forgot he was on the team. He can thank his agent for that job I guess.

Leonard and Lou Williams were scoring at will. Didn't matter who they put in front of them. Then when the Lakers adjusted, losers like Shamet and Green got open jumpers

I was surprised to see them re-sign KCP. With some of the other pick-ups, he seemed even more expendable.

KCP is Rich Paul/Klutch client. Look at the amount he’s signed for with LA:

2017 - 1 year 17 million
2018 - 1 year 12 million
2019 - 2 year 16.5 million

Nobody's scoring on Philly easily. 6'5" is their starting 5's lowest height. 3 of em are 6'9 and Embiid's 7'0.

I knew Kawhi was an amazing player but holy shit he just fucked GSW in just 21 mins.

Not a good start for Harden going 2/13 compared to Giannis' 30-10-10

Kyrie went off in the Nets' opener. His 50 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists are up there with MJ's 54, 14, and 6 on opening night in 1989.

It always looks like Kawhi's moving in slow motion, and before you know it, he's at the rim. No wasted movement at all.

He's already a HOFamer, but a third title/Finals MVP puts him on the 'immortal' level.

Well, the Warriors look like they could use some veterans from the FA market. They are getting murdered right now.

They have no fire power. When Green is allowed to attempt that many 3 point shots even though he is ice cold, you have a big depth problem.

DLo being sent off didn’t help either. The return of W Cauley-Stein doesn’t look like a deal breaker to me.

Plus, I kinda have a feeling that every team wants to butcher the Warriors as a payback for their 5 year run. Rough times ahead, GSW fans.

i think i cant agree with shamet and green being losers, they are just standing and shooting 3s.

I dont understand why they waived mckinnie, hes not game changer but he was solid piece last year.
Green forgot how to shot, Curry needs Klay badly to run his offense.
I dont think they will be able to make playoffs with guys like Chriss, Paschall, Spelman etc...

Melo and Crawford are available. May be worth a roll of the dice on them. Crawford in particular has demonstrated his ability to be a spark plug off the bench throughout his career, and seems to have something left in the tank.

Interesting question that was asked in a basketball podcast I heard was, "If Kawhi wins another title and gets Finals MVP - 3 times in 3 different teams - where would you put him?" Is he then Top 15 material?

It's still so annoying that the Lakers' length doesn't do much when it comes to securing rebounds but Dwight tonight was amazing. Bron not scoring that much but was facilitating the whole game is honestly pretty fun to watch. He's not trying to get shots off tonight unless he really needs to.

Crawford was pretty horrible in Minny and Phoenix wasn't he? Heard he was very volatile all season long in terms of production. Melo fat.

He's dropped off a bit, I wouldn't say he was horrible. He did break MJ's record for being the oldest player to score 50+ in a game last season, he's still got something left I'd say.

Yes....like I posted before, Top 15 is "NBA Immortal" category.

Anyone watch the Nets-Grizzlies last night? Ja Morant was f-n unreal. His block on Kyrie on the last play of regulation was impressive.
