Might lead to a reconciliation with KG, given his falling out with Taylor. He certainly deserves to be honoured by the franchise.

Happy Birthday to my GOAT, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar! Thank you for all the memories, for everything you've done on and off the court!

Westbrook just had his second game with 20 rebounds and 20 assists and secured his fourth season averaging a triple-double in the process.

More importantly he has changed the culture at the Wizards and has them playing really well. I don't know what the standings are out east, but I would love to see the Wizards play the Nets in the playoffs.

Damn, Kwame Brown firing back at Arenas, Jackson & Barnes. You cats think he was a total bust? He did play 12 years.

He didn't live up to being a number one pick, but then again, neither did Joe Smith. I'd say there were much bigger busts.

For me, the most interesting 1st round match-up is Blazers/Nuggets....I could see that going seven games.

I think the Wizards can push Philly to six if Russ is on his A-game.

He's going off on Roy Hibbert and Steven A Smith in a new stream.

I kind of thinking he is joking a bit. He always starts laughing after talking trash. Maybe he finds it funny.

AAAUUUGH!!! So frustrated over that Game 1 loss. Defensively, the Knicks had NO answer for Trae Young. I was screaming at the TV along with Clyde Frazier, "take away his right hand"! Plus Randle had an off night. That can't happen on Wednesday. Hawks have more weapons on offense than the Knicks.

Even without Donovan Mitchell, I thought the Jazz would take Game 1....shocker.

It was looking kind of shaky for the Knicks until they turned up the 'D' in the 3rd quarter, and Randle came alive. Now they have to get a split in ATL.

Shannon Sharpe had me rolling, but he's right. Some fool spits on me, and it's ova for his ass. Just read this clown has been banned indefinitely. The idiot in Philly had his season tickets revoked.

The NBA hasn't felt the same without fans, but now that more and more fans are back in the building, we're seeing why fans are both the best and worst parts about live sports. The incidents are embarrassing, and I don't feel at all sorry for the people getting banned. Seriously, you wait this long to get back to watch the NBA live, and you're pulling nonsense like that? Idiots will be idiots, I suppose, but shame on them all the same.

The Kwame Brown drama is hilarious and entertaining but also a giant waste of time. The best part is he couldn't remember Gerald Wallace's name (who was their best player at the time).

Stephen A's response felt a bit petulant and thin-skinned, but that's not surprising. A lot of these talking heads will happily pick on players (Rasho Nesterovic was SAS's punching bag for a while there in the early 2000s), but get very defensive and pouty when someone disagrees with them, or the players in question fire back.

Exactly Andrew. He shouldn't have responded at all. By doing that, he's proving Kwame's point.

Indeed. I get trying to defend yourself, but he did a poor job of it. He'll have to hold the L on this one, as the kids say.

I am glad he finally fires back. I didn't know he was drafted to be traded for Elton Brand. If that trade happened we would talk about MJ much differently. Instead a potential was abused. Yet Kwame Brown fared very well compared to a variety of 1st picks. Anthony Bennett is 28 year old and is already out of NBA, for good. It's more kind of a hit and miss when you draft bigs.

I wouldn't be at all shocked if the Lakers still advance. Suns brought it to them with Davis out though. LeBron basically stat-padded in the third and then walked out with five minutes left. At the same time, the Suns haven't got the job done yet, CP3 is hurt, and the Lakers got nothing out of players that usually have far more of an impact. Like I said, the Lakers coming back to win in seven wouldn't surprise me at all, but it's a tremendous opportunity for the Suns.

That was a legendary performance from Lillard and they still lost....you could see his frustration at the press conference. All he needed was for one of his teammates to step up.

I was expecting MJ's scoring record to fall. Some bad decisions and turnovers squandered Lillard's legendary night, but still, one of the all-time great Playoff performances. Like you said though, he needed someone else to step up...or at least, not figuratively trip up, as the case may be.

I thought they were going to make a fourth quarter run, but the Suns weren't letting it slip. Also, an interesting observation:

Last NBA Championship for the teams left in the playoffs

Mavericks: 2011
76ers: 1983
Bucks: 1971
Hawks: 1958
Suns: Never
Nets: Never
Jazz: Never
Nuggets: Never
Clippers: Never

Pretty cool.

There's a good chance we'll see a first time champion crowned this year, or a team that hasn't won in decades. Even if the Mavericks were to go all the way, it's still the tenth anniversary of their first and only title. The Nets would seem to be the favourites, but there's a lot of room for some historically significant results.

Interesting bracket remains... my prediction is Bucks/Clippers, but I would really love to see a battle of the 5 seeds ([Trae vs. Luka] though it's unlikely). I'm sort of tired of the rest of these teams lol.
