18 Years Running the NLSC

Postby Andrew on Mon Aug 26, 2019 9:54 pm

Today marks the 18th Anniversary of being named the NLSC Webmaster/Admin, and taking the reins of one of my all-time favourite sites to visit. It's kind of crazy to say the least, as at this point, I've been running the NLSC longer than I haven't. I've marked the occasion in this week's Monday Tip-Off, but I've also dug into the archives and found the news post I made all those years ago.

I wrote:It's great to be here

It would be wrong of me if I didn't acknowledge all of the efforts that Tim has made to make the NBA Live Series Center the #1 NBA Live site on the web, and it's truly an honour to take over as webmaster of the NLSC, but with honour comes great responsibility.

I will do my best to continue the tradition of great NBA Live coverage that the NLSC has brought to the online Live community, and so therefore, will not change much in what has become a winning formula. However, there will be some crossover content with The NBA Live Domain.

With my first news post here on the NLSC, I'd like to give you all an idea of how things will be, concerning the NLSC and NLD. The NLSC and NLD will continue to run as seperate sites, however in the future, the NLD may be absorbed, if necessary. There will be crossover content in the form of news articles, columns such as the Midweek Patch Report and Webmaster News, and of course special announcements.

As always, I will value your feedback on both sites, and hopefully, the NLSC will still be the #1 Live site on the web, even if it is under my control. ;)

That's all I have to say for now, keep those patch submissions coming, and how about a round of applause for Tim, truly a class act in the Live community. :)

You've come a long way, young fellow.

Honestly, running the NLSC has been incredibly fun and rewarding (with some ups and downs, of course), and I'm proud of what I've been able to do, and what we've accomplished as a community. I'm not done yet, not when I'm getting the opportunity to do things like chat to Tim Kitzrow and indulge my creativity with the weekly features. I'm looking forward to more great times here at the NLSC, and I hope you'll stick around to be a part of them. As always, thanks to my team, the modders, and all of you here in the community.

Cheers to 18 Years! :chug:

Couldn't imagine it in anyone else's hands. You've done a fantastic job here, with all the headaches and next to no appreciation. I hope you're able to keep it going another 18. (Y)

I think it was 2003 when I first discovered the NLSC, and I've been seeing your posts on the main page. It's been that long, huh.

Congrats, Andrew!
