The New Generation (PS5/XSX)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Oh yeah Astro's Playroom is phenomenal. Loved that one

I hate that companies are offering paid or free upgrades to PS4 games on PS5, but I already finished them so there's no real incentive to go back and replay it with slightly better graphics

I love free stuff, so I'm all for it.

Yup, and they also clog up the pathetically limited internal storage.

Internal storage was a disappointment once again this generation, especially with games getting bigger all the time. At least now PS5 games can be stored on an external drive, though they can't be played off it. Slightly more convenient to move them back and forth than completely uninstall and reinstall them, I guess.

I don't know if it says more about me or the new generation of consoles, but I'm still mostly using my PS5 to play a PS4 game: NBA 2K14. Granted, that's largely because it captured my imagination when I revisited it last year and I've also felt underwhelmed by the Next Gen versions of NBA 2K21 and NBA 2K22, but I haven't been compelled to get any other PS5 games either.
