GTX 1080 ti graphics card

Postby khaldrogo on Fri Apr 16, 2021 1:31 pm

Hey guys so I am interested in buying a prebuilt PC later this year and I want it to have a GTX 1080 ti graphics card in it.

I have heard that nVidia has stopped manufacturing the 1080 ti since the release of the RTX 2080 ti. Does that mean that 1080 ti might completely run out sometime this year and I won't be able to buy a brand new prebuilt desktop with one inside it?

Depends if sellers have some old stock. Also it's not just since release of RTX 2080 Ti, if would generally be couple months before release of RTX 20 series as whole.

Out of interest is there a reason you want specifically GTX 1080 Ti at this point in time?

ON AIR?
cooled with custom water loop?

Should I go for all in one solution (like asus poseidon or zotac cards) that already come with a waterblock attached... Are these cards known to use good thermal paste and coverage or am I better off getting a straight up reference card and getting a block seperatly? If so, which block would be best?

PLEASE CONSIDER this:

I run a custom water loop with colored liquid in it (but it runs 24/7 therefore reducing the chance of buildup in the tight places)
My color Scheme (which is highly important to me) is White/Black/Green)
