Much less this time around, I think somewhere in the range of 40-50 hours. I topped the 100 hour mark in my 360 game.

Indeed I am. Almost to the point where I can put it aside again though.

Hey, that's not a lot. I think I put in like 80 to 90 hours in myself.

Can't wait for the Vegas. I will probably playing during the winter break. (Y)

Well like I said, I've got a game on the 360 that's run over 100 hours. I guess by now I know what I'm doing, probably rush through some of the dialogue a little quicker.

But I didn't play any DLC, so 80 to 90 hours for me was a lot. Also only had one character...

True, that is a fair amount of gameplay time with the basic game.

Add melee to that and you should be fine. There are parts of the game with close quarter battles and Stealth and Sniping would put you at a disadvantage. Try not to look in every single container. It can take up your entire day and you will end up over encumbered in no time.

Being evil is more entertaining to me in that game, but I think you get less quests or something.

That's DLC, so unless you buy it or have the Game of the Year Edition, you won't be able to play it.

I've tried slightly different character builds in FO3 and New Vegas, though I must admit aside from choosing a good or evil route, my characters end up being fairly similar in terms of their skills. I've never tried a full on stealthy character build, I imagine that'd be quite difficult but fun all the same.

You download that DLC first, then you patch your game (as Andrew said, all DLCs are available in bundle with the GOTY edition). If it's installed properly, your PipBoy will alert you that you received a radio signal. Mark it on your map and follow where it's coming from.

EDIT: This is post #6000.

Fallout 3 is Suddenly One of The Best-Looking Games on Earth

That's the power, and the beauty, of mods for you. In this case, the famous ENB Series tweak, which along with hi-res landscape textures, improved faces and some changes made to the game's lighting have Fallout 3 looking better than ever

Very cool, though based on those screens, "one of the best looking games on earth" may be a bit much.

Well, hyperbole is king on the Internet. ;) Still, they've done a great job of enhancing the appearance of the base game, though we're no strangers to that here in this community.

I don't really like the choice of yellow light and blue/green shadows, though. Fallout 3 was not meant to be gorgeous or colorful, but have a style that made it look like what it is. A wasteland.

I'd agree that it looks better with the ENB mod, just as how OMG Skyrim looks like with it.

In the Mothership Zeta DLC, you can fire the alien ship's death ray at Canada.

That too. All of the DLC for Fallout 3 was great and well worth it in my opinion, as was the DLC for New Vegas, though Broken Steel still stands as the best and most significant for Fallout 3.
