Love seeing the videos everyone, keep them coming. Also I urge everyone not to start a MyLeague with 1989 until the next update for it comes out. I have put a months work into making player stats sim more accurately, and players play more like themselves on the court during gameplay. I made huge strides from the original. Just give another few weeks.

It is good to hear everything is working but im pushing myself to still find ways to improve it. 1989v2 will be out in a week, and i think everyone will agree it is more accurate in every way. I've gone in depth on every player. So a bench player will have the same treatment as an all star, for example. Having the team focused on the amazing cyberface and court art allows me to focus more time than most normal people would on rating and tendency editing. But our team has a great system going.

The good thing with this game is, tendency and ratings actually DO work...2kSports just didnt bother to put any effort into considering how they can create accurate sim stats, or how they can be used to positively impact gameplay. You'll have a better 2k19 experience with these rosters than you will on default, that is for sure.

I started a MyLeague with the 94 Suns, Magic, and Celtics. I am initiating some 94-95 moves a year early for the Celtics as I can't wait to play with Wilkins/Dino together as I rebuild them through the 90s. Who doesn't love this early 90s Suns team? Gonna get them to the Finals and win! I LOVED the Magic when they had Shaq! Gonna see if I can get them to The Finals a year early without Horace.

I figured I would post some games/highlights as I have time. This is game 1 of the 93-94 season for the Magic vs. Hornets. The Magic started off hot and then I started screwing around a little, but hung on for the W.

I am playing the 1993-1994 season all over with a couple of my favorite teams from that era (fav teams were: Suns, Magic, Celtics, Pacers, Warriors) plus a few tweaks. See below for more. For this MyLeague I am just playing with the Suns, Celtics, and Magic. In a sudden twist of events, Michael decided NOT to retire. With addition of Tony Kukoc to their lineup….who will possibly stop the Bulls? Can they 4 in a row?

1) SUNS: Dumas suddenly doesn't have a drug problem and we'll see if his career ever evolves into the hype. I’ve always felt he would’ve been a difference maker in 1994. He certainly would’ve helped based on his rookie season. Lead by Barkley with the aide of Danny Ainge and “Thunder” Dan Majerle firing from around the perimeter, will it be enough to get Chuck and the Suns back to The Finals? The reigning league MVP says this is OUR year!

2) CELTICS: The Celtics have been decimated over the past 2 season with the death of Reggie Lewis and the retirements of McHale and Bird. There is hope though. In an apparent “time travel move”, the Celtics were able to create most of their 1995 roster a year early! Parish made it clear to management he wanted to win one more title and demanded that Wilkins come to Boston now, along with David Wesley, to make one last title run. Dino Radja vowed to win Rookie of the Year while Wilkins claims he’ll win the MVP in his way to a title.

3) MAGIC: “All you jealous punks can’t stop my dunks” – Shaq. A very young team, loaded with talent, is set to takeover the East for the next decade. With the most unstoppable center the league will ever see in his prime, the Magic are a force to be reckoned with. Making his rookie presence felt, Penny has ROY aspirations and championship glory on his mind. They aren’t short of outside fire power either with 3-D and Nick Anderson on the wings, this will be tough team to stop. Still……it feels like they are missing someone.

SUNS GAME 1: SUNS vs. HAWS:

A well balanced attack all the around. Full game included. Some amazing plays throughout. The Suns were down early (mostly because I was also watching one of my kid's play on her travel volleyball team while playing this game haha).

Small suggestion for the next roster update: in the 92 draft and in the 93 and 94 rosters, Latrell Sprewell should be primary position SG and secondary SF. He started pretty much exclusively at shooting guard with the Warriors (Mullin was the SF) before playing more SF later on in his career next to Allan Houston for the Knicks.

Also, can't remember which roster(s) he's in, but Kenny Battle should be left handed - pretty sure he's set to right hand in the roster.

Hello, I need help, I know that there are no longer any nba2k19 servers and well, I'm Spanish and with the translation I've been looking at the steps:

1: I put all the waigua content inside the nba2k19 folder of version 1.2 on 1.1 and 1.0, one no longer exists but the other does not download it.

2: I copy the content of update 1.06 in the nba2k19 folder

3: I start the game, the music from jukeboxmusic is heard but the templates always come out from 2018-2019 there is no way the retro ones will come out

Do you have the rosters? The last release is the most recent and at that time, you needed to download the rosters from the 2k servers.

However, we will be updating these rosters soon and releasing them for offline use....HOPEFULLY within the next week or so.

Okay - when we release the next round of roster updates, it will include instructions on how to install everything as it will require an extra step or two, but it only takes 1 min once you know what to do. In the meantime, you can leave the waguia folder intact as that step needs done. I will update here once we release.

I don’t have to tell you all about the unprecedented accuracy of this mods artwork, graphics, presentation, sneakers, etc. So I just want to explain where we are at currently and going forward with the roster aspect. Some of you who have been staying up to date on the rosters have noticed some subtle improvements, and the good news is you'll see much more going forward


Mission Statement

Since November of last year, a new layer of work has been getting done, mostly behind the scenes, to the rosters to provide better gameplay, and more accurate simulations. For too long these past players in retro rosters were treated too conservatively. People who weren’t sure what to do with them gave them conservative stats. Stats and abilities below what we’d see with current era players. I’m of the belief that this era was as good or better than any other era of talent in the NBA and this is finally reflected in that. No more conservative, broad strokes for all, because we are now confident in our research and numbers. No more players having numbers based off of seasons where they only played in 3 games, either. The best passers, dunkers, shooters, shot blockers in this era were not 80-90 level players in those areas. They were 95-99 level, and beyond that in some cases. An attempt has been made to scale all players with one another.

This level of detailing goes All the way down to specific body part injuries. Ever wonder why that player is wearing a knee pad on his right knee? Now you’ll know when you look at his physical chart. You’ll find little details like this throughout that will make you smile and nod.

Non All Star Players are no longer generic, the aim is to give them as much detail or more than you’d see a current player have in the modern 2K roster. For many players compared to what we had before, it’s the difference between a rough outline sketch, and a detailed portrait. Or they had the template of a current NBA Player. I understand why that was done in the past, due to a lack of information. But no more. Where as before if we didn’t have info on a bench center, we assumed he played like a typical center. Now, you may see a certain center who played away from the basket will be set to do so.

Players now have quirks, badges, injury histories, personality traits, proper play assignments, and more.

People have commented on improved gameplay, and while there’s limits to where you can push this game, and any game for that matter, we have made the proper adjustments for the era. That means mid range game, much more post ups, much harder fouls, less threes, and overall more physicality.

This work is now done for 1989, and will be in the next release of that roster. That base will be used as we go backwards.

I’ll continue to do edits on each season as we go backward (-1988) and forward (1995-) and the whole team has a system in place to progress along. The amount of talent on the team in all areas has made it so we can have one person like myself who can focus ENTIRELY on the player ratings and tendencies themselves. And I’m very thankful for that. This is my passion. But If there’s any suggestions for how to push it further toward realism, or any oversights, I want to know them. Stildo told me he wanted to take this mod to another level, to be "next gen" successor to the UBR, and so I am trying to do my part fulfill this vision .This is not about ego for me, it is about accurately representing history of the league we love (or loved). I know that is the same feelings for the rest of the team. Enjoy these coming updates and keep us updated with your experiences.
