Interest in a NBA 2k19 Updated Mod project?

Postby bigdimesnatedawg on Sat Oct 30, 2021 1:35 am

Keep going back to NBA 2k19, as I think it has the most natural and realistic player movement.

I might just stick with the game full time.

Would there be interest in a project to update cyberfaces, rosters to current NBA?

2k16 or 17 have better movements, less modding tools.
Anyway interesting project.

if only 2K16, 2K17 and even 2K19 has the cool tools we have now for the current gen (2K20-22); possibility will be endless.

Agree with you both, I feel like the games have continued year over year to worsen, particularly in terms movement, 2k22 feels like players running with sandbags strapped to their body. I believe 2k17 was the peak. I settled on 19, because it has I feel like it has the best tools available and the quality of gameplay dropped severely from 2k20 and onward. I modded and pushed 2k18 as far as I possibly could, however the animations around the rim are really rough and the defensive rotations/help are just not there for long-term gameplay. Will see what I can come up with for 19.

There definitely still seems to be some interest in NBA 2K19, especially with the retro season mods. An up to date 2022 season roster would be cool to see as well.

Have you guys ever tried doing a face transfer from 2k21 to 2k17, then 2k17 to 2k16, is that valid, or would it glitch out, because that might be the only way, especially a transfer of 2k21 to 2k19.

im still playing 2k19 with custom modded sliders, rosters, draft classes. It really is the best 2k. I tried 2k20, 21, they all sucked so bad. This is the last game where you can even resemble some real basketball. I usually play myleague from 11-12 roster and advance to current day
