NBA 2K20 - moving saves to new PC

Postby BobbyColtrane on Mon Jun 06, 2022 12:52 am

Greetings!

I need a little help and thought I would ask the experts on this forum.

I have an install of 2K20 and a few roster files/MyLeague saves on my desktop computer. I recently bought a laptop and want to use those files to continue to play the MyLeague.

Bc the servers are down, the files from the Steam Cloud don't work on my laptop - I get the message "you need to connect to the server to get the data for this file" or whatever.

However, like I said they still work on my desktop. I copied the entire installation folder from the desktop to the laptop via USB and it still doesn't work. :x

Is there a file or something else I need from the desktop to make these saves work on a different computer?

I appreciate any help/guidance you can provide.

These days, they're found under the Steam userdata folder. If you've installed Steam to the C drive, the path will be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(Numbers)\1089350.

Copy that 1089350 folder to your laptop after you've installed NBA 2K20, and you'll have all of your old saves, as well as the updated sync.bin file with all the game updates intact.
