The CE has worked up until this patch, so I didn't expect it to be an issue this time lol

I am currently looking through the 700,000+ file names in the manifest and comparing it to manifest from last patch.
I see 2K has moved some vital files to different archives. Of course we have many new files.

I don't have a list of what was removed but some animations were moved from 0C to 0G

Interesting, I hope we can fix it or ksmiz updates his tables. He is making a big effort and now this issue...

This was happening last year after patch 1.06. When a new EXE (Patch) comes out you should sort the NBA2K folder by date and back-up the archives an manifest that are dated with the same date as the NBA2K EXE. You then have to copy and paste the old archives and exe back into the NBA2K folder in order to revert back to a prior EXE without the game crashing on startup.

Yes you have reason, but they are more than 6GB.

Always keep a full backup IMHO is the only solution....I know....a lot of disk space...

I totally agree. That was a lesser disk space usage option for some. I back up the full package on an external drive due to the huge size of the archives. I know everyone doesn't have that option. Kinda a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

I don't know how everyone else's was working but the CE tables worked for me with the 1.04 EXE. There were only 3 archives to backup (0A,0D,2T) so that may be an option to revert back to. I went back to 1.04 to do my edits but like I said, I don't know how if the tables worked with 1.04 for people.

I did buy a sd card on Amazon just for this (Y) ...sorry too many 2k updates for me...so I prefer to have this backup.

calm down nothing is different except for the pointer which is how it works every time there is an update

just a heads up to check the jersey file name options
some jerseys are in the game but the data and file names are not inside the SYNC.BIN roster file

you can add jerseys/unifroms to the end of the list by just continuing the pattern and making new ones at the end so write them in if you want to
but to make them go along with a team make sure you go to the team data and have the address for that jersey/uniform
also the uniformdata for a specific uniform starts -8bytes from the name of the file to account for the customuniformdata
see in this picture how I use the address of where "All Bytes" and "Custom Uniform Data" and not the address of the name of the file
