Tweeted by 2KInternational, then followed up by an official announcement by the Euroleague, it appears 14 teams from the Euroleague will be in NBA 2K14. The announcement also makes mention that this is a multi-year exclusive partnership with 2K. The teams that will be in the game are:
Alba Berlin, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, CSKA Moscow, EA7 Emporio Armani Milano, Montepaschi Siena, Fenerbahçe Ülker Istanbul, Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Athens, Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, Zalgiris Kaunas, Unicaja Málaga, Laboral Kutxa Vitoria
Euroleague mods for the PC version of basketball games have always been popular, its great to finally see them in the game officially! Check out discussion of the announcement in our NBA 2K14 Forum. Thanks to Skerzos, for the heads up!
Now, that’s an edge against Live. 😉 Pretty awesome idea. 😀
It definitely never hurts to add extra content. Hopefully, we won’t lose the historical teams or too many more players from them.
NBA Live 13 – National Teams?!
It’s quite possible that EA still has the FIBA license, in which case the national teams will likely still be there (and hopefully updated, since it’s been a while since the last NBA Live release).
As I mentioned in the Forum, I’m not as excited about this as other people around these parts, but definitely a good move. Again, it never hurts to add extra content like this.
then, 2 weeks before the release 2k comes out and announces “sorry, Euroleague teams are for consoles only since modders can make them for PC” lol…..
They’re not pre-order DLC, we should be safe…hopefully. 😉
