NBA 2K16 Patch V6 Released

Kawhi Leonard drives in NBA 2K16

The sixth title update has been pushed through for the PlayStation 4 version of NBA 2K16, and is expected to be available for the PC and Xbox One versions of the game soon. Patch V6 is primarily intended to address various gameplay exploits; the full patch notes are as follows:

  • Updated player portraits for a number of players.
  • Tuned the effectiveness of long outlet passes for players with the Break Starter badge.
  • Delay branching from Kobe Bryant Back size-up.
  • Re-worked size-up dribble launches to prevent unnaturally explosive first steps.
  • Tune miss chances for deep downcourt and cherry picking.
  • Dock vertical and rebounding when you go behind the basket. Don’t reset 3-in-the-key offense timer in baseline behind paint for human controlled blacktop players.

While it hasn’t been confirmed, it’s possible that this will be the last title update for the game. Hopefully, it won’t take long for the PC and Xbox One patches to come through; we’ll be sure to post an update once the patch has been released on those platforms as well. In the meantime, feel free to post your thoughts on the latest title update in the comments section below, as well as in this thread in the NBA 2K16 section of the NLSC Forum.
