NBA 2K26 MyNBA & MyGM Details

As you may have seen, the latest NBA 2K26 Courtside Report covers MyNBA and MyGM. Not surprisingly, it isn’t as lengthy as the insight into MyTEAM, but there are some interesting additions this year.

Playoffs mode is now available online and supports up to 16 users, each controlling a team. MyGM has 30 team-specific storylines, and some other new RPG elements. Different simulation speeds allow for swifter progress or deeper trade logic, and simulation has been sped up in general. As previously noted, Dynamic Banners will be added as you win championships, though only in the Modern Era. Player DNA now also allows one MyPLAYER to be inserted into each custom roster, and MyWNBA includes the expansion Golden State Valkyries.

NBA 2K26 MyNBA & MyGM Courtside Report Summary

• Playoffs mode can now be played online with up to 16 users each controlling a team. As with the offline version of The Playoffs, it will feature in-depth postseason presentation and atmosphere.
• Simulation has been tuned to run 8% faster on average, and up to 26% faster, compared to simulating through seasons in NBA 2K25.
• Three simulation speed options are also available in NBA 2K26 MyNBA and MyGM: Faster (seasons are simulated quicker, but trade logic doesn’t consider all possibilities), Smarter (teams use more advanced trade logic, but seasons are simulated slower as a result), and Normal (a balanced approach to speed and trade logic).
• The Player DNA feature can now copy and paste one MyPLAYER into each roster that’s created. It can be used for all Eras rosters, allowing a MyPLAYER to be inserted into any period in MyNBA.
• Dynamic Banners are added to your arena as you win championships in the Modern Era.
• The Golden State Valkyries have been added to MyWNBA, reflecting the league’s expansion.
• Before a new season, a sitdown meeting with the team governor will outline primary and secondary directives, as well as your budget. Meeting these goals is essential to keeping your job as GM.
• Financial management has been tweaked to suit each Era in NBA 2K26 MyNBA, with era-accurate figures for revenue and budget, salary cap increases, luxury tax mechanics, and so forth.
• Winning champions earns Facility Points that are used to upgrade your team facilities. These include improving the training facilities, renovating the arena, and improving luxury box amenities, all of which make your team more attractive to prospective free agents. Notably, renovations are expensive, multi-year projects, requiring 15 Facility Points and thus some prior planning.
• MyGM includes 30 team-specific storylines that determine the goals you’ll be tasked with. There are 98 different conversations involved with this RPG-based approach to franchise play.
• The MyGM Building is an office that serves as the hub for the mode. In addition to performing GM tasks, you can also put up some shots while wearing a suit.
• Objectives and accomplishments are tracked in the new GM Legacy menu.
• Clothing can be unlocked for your GM, similar to a MyPLAYER.
• A new unranked version of MyGM is available in NBA 2K26, allowing for a more customised experience while retaining the RPG elements of the mode.
