NBA Live 15 Pushed Back to October 28th; Gameplay Blog & Footage

In a surprising move, NBA Live 15 Executive Producer Sean O’Brien has revealed in an open letter that the game has been pushed back to October 28th, after initially being slated to release October 7th, alongside NBA 2K15. A few sites including Operation Sports picked up on the story after the new release date was spotted on the game’s official website, with Sean’s open letter providing official confirmation and an explanation of the situation.

In the letter, Sean speaks about the game positively, and indicates that the team wants to take a few additional weeks to really polish the game, indicating a desire to deliver the best product possible. The new release date coincides with the start of the 2014/2015 regular season.

The announcement has also been accompanied by the first gameplay blog, which not only talks about the improvements that have been made this year, but also features a few snippets of gameplay footage. You can check out the work-in-progress clips below.

Hopefully, we don’t see a repeat of the situation with NBA Elite 11 or NBA Live 13, however the reaction to NBA Live 15 so far has been far more positive, and the open letter certainly sounds optimistic. More information is coming soon, but in the meantime, have your say in the comments below, as well as in the NBA Live 15 section of the Forum.
